Reasonable amounts of progress grizz but I am sure most will be bored with my pictures of blasting painting and rubbing down... Be patient and I am sure that I will cobble something together over the Christmas break. As for the above....YES! Now don't forget it will need a Turbo LS whilst you are still allowed to do burnouts for distance.... P.

Not a problem, the offer was to see if it fitted your engine and if so then it’s easy to pick up a sender. This is actually a sender but the top was knocked off in transit, I ended up using a connector from my box of tat to fit a mechanical oil pressure gauge. Will have a look and see if I have something that will work. P.

Didn't the Wheeler Dealer lot put a 126 engine in a 500 for not a lot of money? Not sure on the HP upgrade but might be worth considering. Found it. Lovely work by the way Sir. P.

If you let me know the size of the oil fitting I have a box of old tat saved from years of American motor vehicle ownership that might be provide the correct fitting. In fact this is lying on my desk - oil pressure sensor for an LS - is the the same thread? Quite happy to stick it in an envelope for you to try if its any help? P.

The hole in the front panel tells you that this is what the designers had in mind from the factory..... Do it. P.

I priced up the CD09 route for my truck and came to the conclusion that it would always be a compromise and not that much cheaper. The Getrag from a 335 diesel is another option, gear ratios look better and the box can be found for £200 ish rather than the £800-1000 the 350z box seems to command. Still need to use the adapter though and all of a sudden you are back up at the price of a T56…. However. This is Dez we are talking about so he has probably already got it sorted using an old gas bottle and a Wedgwood dinner plate plus Skillllllzzzzzzzz…. Mind you Mr. metalshapes I expect the same from you! P.

If you get really stuck I will see if I can get them sent over. Need to get them to SF. Not ideal if you need them quickly as can take several months for them to turn up. Let me know and i will ask if this option is still available. P.

Used to get them in at the Ford dealership I did my apprenticeship in, along with the wedge TVR with the 2.8. Always had massive problems bleeding the cooling system and usually arrived at our door step after somebody had done the head gaskets after fitting the chrome rad hose extenders…. Having said that would have with with a 5.0 and a T5. Looking forward to seeing your take on it Dez P.

I was about to pull my soap box out of storage and start on the whole reduction in mobility of the people that will be brought about by electric cars but decided to rather just point at the rise in subscription based car ownership. One simple monthly payment for everything. No negotiation, no trade in just £899.99 per month... On a positive the Super Fiesta(tm) my 04 base model is still going strong. 211K on the clock and has been the car all my kids have learnt to drive in. Still makes me chuckle how good it is on the twisties and pretty much zero operating costs. P.

Simple really. Ford don't make money selling cars - it is the vans that pay for the rest of the product line, well in Europe anyway. The Puma is the only car they actually make money on. I know that contradicts the above statement but you know what I mean. Sad to see it go as I was an apprentice in the Ford garages when it first came out... Bloody hell I am old. P.

Light (relatively) and small with lots of power? Has to be an LS. There is a reason why everyone swaps them in…. 06 LM7 has 315hp, sloppy Best Cam and pac 1218 springs and a later model truck inlet is getting you 380-400hp before you put the whirly Boi on and then it’s just a matter of how much boost you wanted to run. Tr6060 box is going to be the biggest expense but a Getrag out of a 335 and the polish conversion kit is an option as is the 350z gearbox. Or….. the MB 4 pots are worth a look at. What ever you chose I am a massive fan! P.
