1993 BMW E30 Touring 328i Track Car / Sprint Car / Hill Climb Car
Sold as a drift car in 2015 this arrived with RallyPrep during Spring 2017 where they took the car back to bare shell before de-rusting the car, cleaning the underside and protecting it. They also seem welded the engine bay, strengthened the diff mounting area and fabricated very good quality mounts for the hydro and coolerworx shifter. An M52B28 was fitted along with E30 M3 rear diff, full braided lines, suspension setup etc etc to the tune of a bill totaling over £11k.
After now driving this car a few times on road and track events I have fallen in love with its raw speed and agility, however with a new addition to the family it makes a lot more sense for me to own a newer super saloon instead.
I bought the car from a friend in October and continued to improve the car with fresh paint, new WMS big brake kit and new Gaz Gold Coilovers. The car is road legal and has MOT until July 2019. The current mileage on the shell has just ticked over to 130k but it’s really irrelevant considering the work that has been carried out in the past two years.

There are sure to be mods I’ve missed off the list but there are so many. I can’t fault the car in anyway and having owned over 100 cars its one of my favorites. I'm not willing to let this car go cheap as it’s a unique car and E30 especially tourings are only going up in value.
I’d much prefer a cash sale so I can crack on and get my new car however I may consider the right PX would have to be another performance or track car. I have plenty of videos of it on track and lots of pics of the build as well as receipts for the build from Rallyprep and other parts fitted over winter.
You can also check the build thread on the retro rides forum.
Not interested in silly offers. Those in the know are fully aware how well renowned Rallyprep are for building these cars and how good a spec this car is mechanically and visually spot on.
Viewing is more than welcome and I can deliver throughout UK or Europe at extra cost.
I'm looking for around £9000 with the custom Zender split rims included as they are valued at over £1000 or £8495ono without the Zenders. Could also remove other parts to reduce price.

I love this E30 touring, its unique, fast and agile and its a true drivers car. However I'm not one for keeping cars for long periods of time and with our little baby girl born days ago I have been considering selling the car and buying a super saloon for future road trips and the odd trackday. I'm expecting to put the car up for sale around the £8k mark

For Sale – Honda Integra DC2 K20 UK Car – Track Car
This UK spec DC2 has a K20 transplant in order to offer a super reliable and fast NA track car. We love Hondas as they offer mainly trouble-free driving allowing owners to drive to track, do laps all day and then drive home again issue free.
The shell on this car is very clean considering it’s a UK car and has only covered 123,000 miles. Early last year it had a timing chain and tensioner kit fitted by local specialists Harvey Motorsport and had only done one trackday at Castle Combe and one at Pembrey since then.
The current owner has decided to offer the car for sale because of a house project they have going on. The car is currently road legal but would also need just a few changes for it to enter several hot hatch race series.

Exterior:

The car is very clean for a UK shell. It is a track car though not a show car so paintwork could do with annual polish and protection. There is a small dent on pas side door and very very small amount of surface rust on both rear arches, not really worth mentioning. The Car runs out of MOT end of March but happy to give it another 12months if required buy the new owner.
The current owner is looking for a cash only sale no swaps. Viewing is welcome by appointment only and lots more pics are available upon request.
Priced at £6995

So the car arrived back with me before the weekend and I started it up Thursday morning so I could get it washed. BUt as I was waiting inside it just conked out on its own, went outside started it back up and 10 seconds later it conks out again, great another issue I need to fault find. Luckily these engines are usually very reliable and issues like this usually boil down to a few things. In Norway my fuel pump blocked so I pull the pump out the tank....all good. Next I pulled a fuel line of the rail to make sure I'm getting fuel to the engine and it flowed well. Vac pipe were my next check as a split in these can cause lumpy idle and cutting out on the M52 lump, and a quick look on the forums suggested the Idle Control Valve can play up and cause miss readings to the ECU. Removing the inlet and throttle body I found a split pipe to the ICV and it was a massive split, I though this must be it so headed to Merlin Motorsport to get the pipe replaced in silicone hose. Fitted it back up let the car warm and nope it cuts out again. Apparently cleaning out the ICV can do the job if that is the issue but at this point it could have been several sensors. I removed the ICV and cleaned it with carb cleaner, fitted It back up, warmed the car up konks out....god damn it a days wasted in very cold temps. Snow is due and so is our baby any day and with the E30 still on studded tyres and snow due I'm desperate to get the car right so if we need to we can use it to get to hospital. A friend locally always has e36 parts so go to his and trade some old race fuel for a 2nd hand ICV, I'm sceptical that it will do the job but that night it starts snowing and by Friday morning we have a few inches already, I bite the bullet, wrap up in my Norway gear and head out in the snow to change the part, it doesn't take long and I start the car again, finally the temp goes past a quarter without cutting out, wooohooo!!! To celebrate of course I go for a drive in the E30 in the snow feeling very smug as others slide about and I'm still on my studded tyres . Paid a visit to local Castle Combe and took a few pics.

They grip very well, folks confuse that with handling. Out the box they push the front end badly, it's a poor experience. Can be fixed easy enough mind, with many pennies... Under £200 you can get rid of the understeer with an uprated 22mm or 24mm rear ARB, that is all you need.

I have owned many Subarus over the years and I have always loved them. They are very reliable providing they are looked after. as said above rust is the killer, rear strut tops especially. The earlier pre 95 cars have a stronger block than all the others and pick the right car its bound to rise in value. Plenty of space in them both my Dad and step dad had them had family cars when I was younger, forget the legacy and forrester simply not on the same level as the Impreza. The classics are also a better option than the new age cars. Some of my old ones: As you say buy one now before they get too much money. They have been on the rise constantly past few year although you can still pick up some gems. The Blue WRX race car I only paid £3k for.

Car should be back with me today just in time for a bit of snow that's forecast. On our final journey back down the mountain in Norway it had hit -14 and I'm pretty sure part of my cooling system froze resulting in me having no heating for the 30 mins we drove and in the end burst a pipe on our way down. I was worried I had damaged the engine but after a good check, pipe replaced with silicone and new water pump and thermostat fitted shes good to go again. Our first trackday is at Castle Combe on Feb 15th so I need a ride height adjustament, Geo check and some semi slicks
