most image searches for jags seem to throw at least one up for this...
but presented in this format it looks even more gorgeous. must at least be a candidate for a "if you could only ever own one car" thread...hey...there's an idea!!
so what would yours be???*
*sure the idea must have been done before?

That’s a good one.... I drive a newish VW van for work, but a Combi with a second row of seats and windows. It’s my work van, but could be a car etc So to replace that, first thought would be a type 1 VW splitty, but an American panel van would be awesome. The LHD would annoy me though on a every day vehicle (and I suspect would be frowned upon for stuff like weighbridge sites) so I looked for Aussie panel vans, but they seem to be small (though a sandman would be great) I then looked for South African panel vans, and the Ford F100 seems like it’d fit my bill But I do just over 20k miles a year, so wouldn’t happen... but if it was a car for me to use...... wanders off to think and surf the internet

My dear old Minor Traveller has been a real boon over the years - compact but with good luggage capacity, good parts availability, dirt cheap to run with cheap insurance, free road tax and now no MOT required and (mostly) DIY maintainable. Which is probably why I've kept it so long, despite having owned many other arguably faster/more comfortable/more modern cars that have come and gone.
Living where I do largely out in the sticks though, something small and 4 x 4 such as a Suzuki Jimny could be very handy at times.

I am glad I don't have to go back to 1 family car. First is that this would mean that I have to walk 55Km to work everyday. But this ute does tick some boxes. It's a luxury car same as our BMW and Mercedes and it has a good size tray like my Patrol ute

Only one car for everything? Hmm, difficult. It means it would have to be practical but also fun and good looking. Probably throws out anything classic as daily driving a classic is easier said than done for the most part. So probably for me an Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio.

purely for the entertainment factor , lets keep it to the one car you could drive if you didnt have to worry about real world issues...mpg...running costs..reliability...fitting kids/dogs/shopping etc....grief from swmbo and the like. otherwise it will all be modern dull estates , people carriers and vans.(though we do like them too)
*edit to add "modern" to post!

We used that one as our wedding transport.

I've had many cars and driven many more but I always say the same thing My old XJ12 is probably the nicest car Ive ever driven I still own it and have for many years and when all the rest have gone and I'm old (older) it will be the one car I keep until I can no longer work on it myself or trust anyone else to It's in need of work now (currently in storage) and it will be the last project car I ever work on but it will also be the best of the best So if I could only have one car it would be that It's not the prettiest jaguar ever made but that's fine by me
