Cheers bud, was actually parked right in front of a Antibes as it happens 😀 No way! Any pics of it? Sorry mate, didn't take a single picture all day for some reason, there were some lovely Nova's on the stand though. White E plate one? Lee I think his name is? Did the clutch and box on my Astra. Yep, it was Lee and hes from up your way, North Wales? Between his and mine, that is 2 of the 6 on the road accounted for ! lol Always nice to have a rare car

I've been given a discount code by the club I normally attend with but I can't figure out where this code gets entered on the ticket site?
I consider myself computer literate after 20 years in I.T so am missing something obvious here? 😂

Was gonna come to this but weather was a bit off this morning so thought it may be a waste of time, clearly not which club did you display with? Love to try get my Astra there next year. Its a good show, nice and local which is always a bonus I display with the Northern Nova Group, they kindly give me a space

Look at Mk1 Seat Leon Cupra R's, cheap and came with AMK 210bhp and later the BAM 225bhp. Both can be remapped to the same. Mine is a 2003 AMK 210 and at stage 1 has 260bhp. Bloody marvellous car, fast and handles well, and can be made better very easily. Watch out for shot PCV systems so use a catch can instead, leaky doors (easy fix with butyl tape) whiney gearboxes. The later type can be fixed with a £15 shim kit in minutes. Early ones like mine cant do that but the whine is slight. Rods are only good for 300ft/lb torque though. Had an early LCR with a BAM - great engine but it was heavy and had quite a few niggles over my ownership. Absolutely gorgeous car tho. I think I may have found a TT that I like but it's pushing 150k...lots of history tho, so should I be worried? Mine was up to 157k when I sold it. I maintained it myself and it got whatever it needed, no issues at all and the new owner is made up with it.

Just recently sold my BAM TT after 7 years of ownership and 100k done in that time.
Great cars, even at the age they are now they feel special.
Advice would be find a good one, a bad example will cost a lot of money very quickly...

Looks like a nice find, I had a 1800 2i a few years ago but never really impressed me but I'm more of a Vauxhall guy at heart 😀
Looking forward to the updates 👍

I can give another vote for the gtechniq, it works very well and a little goes a long way. I wish I had kept one of my Nova's from back in the day, had a few: Nova 1.3SR, MK1 1.4SR, 1.4SRi, GTE and x2 GSI's including a lovely silk viloet one (which for some reason was very slow but looked beautiful!) I'm hoping for my 40th in 3 years I can persuade my wife to let me buy a GTE

Had this thread bookmarked and just read from start to finish again! Lovely car, I remember when these were everywhere and I was having fun with them in either my Nova GSI or 205 GTI! Cant believe how rare they have become, just looked on HowManyleft and only 34 taxed Q3 of 2018, 21 of Q4. Looks great in white, really suits the kit and the wheels. Thanks mate, they are very rare in GSi guise, oddly enough rarer than Nova GSi's. Lowered on 16's has always been the look I've loved, first show of the year on Sunday.

Great first car, you've already done the rims and seats, XR2i kit on it and you have a fantastic looking car ready for a nice engine when insurance comes down 👍

I have my Corsa B GSi as my fun/project, I love them, nothing amazing about them at all but I wanted one since I was a kid in the 90's.
A couple of years ago I bought a 1999, 1400 Sport in lovely, original condition but a non runner for £200.
I replaced the head and fitted 2 rear wheel bearings. My wife daily'd it, we put 8000 miles on it and I sold it in September for £1000 without any more than a post asking what it was worth.
Ultimate in trouble free, easy going motoring.
