Bookmarked this. And thanks for your 'how to...' thread linked in here also. That'll be useful to me later on. Excited to see where this goes. Lovely looking car and always nice to see more old Japanese cars on here.

Sean Harland in Eastbourne has an R5T Imp. It's black/brown, no idea if he built it or it's the one you're on about with a respray or another conversion.
When I had my 12a Rotary Imp the Imp Club loved it.
Good luck in your hunt.

IIRC there is an issue in that UK residents are not allowed to drive a foreign registered vehicle. The chances of being done for it though... Ive been told this but when I was living in France I drove my French registered VW Caddy van in the UK a few times, crossed the boarder on a UK passport and no one ever questioned me. Also, the car won't be registered as it's been exported/imported. Always best to get them collected. Never know how long it's been sitting and what gremlins it may have. I've had a few imports now and they've always had small issues.

I'm local (ish) but my car doesn't live here. I might cycle along or come down in something modern just to have a look about.

I can recommend someone up in Esher. Once he's done mine. What car is it? He'd probably need the car too though.

Are you talking about the horrid text or has something broken on my Mac? The Horrid text... or as I like to call it the font I'm trying to work with. That and I'm trying to remove some noise from the front page of the boards..... so far it is proving tough going. It's HUGE on my screen. I'll go away and come back later.

In 2013 I sold a WRX Sit V2 to a performance car dismantler in Switzerland (I was living on the French/Swiss boarder at the time) filled out the V5C and posted it off. Never heard anything from them until today. I got a letter from the DVLA, big red letters "Unlicensed Vehicle" referencing the scrapped Subaru. Chuffin' useless.

That 510 has been on eBay for ages, come down a lot in price too. Same for that 240k. We don't seem to appreciate (or want to pay) for old Japanese cars over here. Except for S30's and some old Toyota's! That 510 looks better than it actually is; I know of someone who won the auction, turned up to collect the car and drove back without it...all that glitters isn't gold :-). The C210 just needs some proper deep wheels to fill the those arches and suddenly it will appeal more. IMHO. A polished turd, doesn't surprise me. Rotten dog legs, rockers and floor?
