The car is home and running now but my master cylinder and brake booster has gone bad. While removing them I decided to remove the brake lines too. Looks good in the garage, but want to get it out and drive it.
Anyone local to SS7 who can help with brake lines? Not sure if it is a job I'd want to take on.

That green Datsun has been popping up all over my instagram feed. It's awesome.
This show just looks fantastic, I love this style of modified cars and each one is a complete build. You can see the owners have put in a lot of time and effort in.

I love the function over form of the vent and fuel filler delete. Those bits give it its fantastic character. I'm 100% pro the vent + plate and retaining the style that makes the car so appealing. Top work, keep it up! Thank you, this is exactly it. It would be too easy to SR swap, make 400bhp, fit modern wheels, suspension and brakes etc but that's not the look or feel of the car. I'm changing the dash out eventually and fitting a more modern, safer cage and seat for self preservation but the rest will be period correct.

Loving the refreshed look - I'm in two minds over the period racecar details (Tank vent on the side of the car and pop rivetted fule filler cap cover) but I get why they are being retained Love these old Datsuns! Not sure about that tank vent with the conduit clamps holding it on, must have been hard to drill the holes in the pristene paint! I'm the same to be honest, I'm not a fan of it but that's how it was and that's how it'll stay. The holes were left and the fuel breather hose re fitted to keep it period correct. The fuel filler cap was covered over as there is a fuel cell in the boot and in true Japanese fashion, the old filler was felt with in the quickest way possible and riveted over. I'm going to try carefully colour match the rivets somehow so they're not so in your face. Same throughout process for keeping the holes where the original badges were and trim pieces. My plan was to always do a restoration back to how it was when it was first built as a race car. The only thing I'm going to be changing is the wheels, the mixed SSR/Tosco set really doesn't do it for me. Other than that, it'll be visually the same, like a time warp but with much better workmanship and finish than the JDM backyard special it was.

I'm terrible at keeping this thread updated. So much has happened this year it finally feels like the end is in sight. See you at RR22

Has anyone had any dealing with bespokes7 on eBay? Here's a link to one of his jigs www.ebay.co.uk/itm/car-rollover-jig/163474887960I don't recommend purchasing from him as mine still hasn't turned up after almost 2 months and multiple excuses.

I just registered for this very post, japanese cars from late 60s to early 70s are just beautiful pieces of art. Welcome to the forum! Wish I had more to report but I'm taking my time to make it right and get the correct parts on it.

I started racing in 2010. Think I was spoilt. Retro road bikes, yeah but retro mountain bikes, unless a clunker don’t do it for me.
