I would email and tell them to remove it.
Could be somebody's done a valuation from them on the plate with other details and they've assumed it's for sale.

Weak one photo thread sorry, BUT in my defence I really tried to find other decent modified W168 or W169 A-class' but it genuinely seems the only decent A-class is this one that I stumbled upon on Instagram while searching for photos of Antera three spokes.... Surly someone else must know of other decent examples??? In the meantime I'm in love with the car above it looks spot on, nice drop, perfect wheels and you could build something like this on a serious budget early A-class' can be picked up for literally peanuts plenty of cool 5x112 wheels to choose from. I still love the 3 spokes, been looking for a set of 17's for my Vectra for aaaages but no joy

Welcome to the forum mate. Cheers Gaun yersel Oor Wullie! Right, that's out of my system...nice XR3i mate...and who knew Vectras were now that old!?! Welcome! Well i'm glad you got it out of your system lol, The XR3 was my first car, i learned to drive in it, my friends were quite envious - not so much so when it started to rust tho lol. Welcome,,, and I like that vectra got me thinking I haven't seen a good one of those for a long while Cheers mate. I cant take the credit for building it tho. I did watch it being built having all the different bits added along the way, i loved it since i seen it and still do. You don't see many of the Preface Vectra's around now so they are getting a bit rarer, getting harder to find them in the scrap yards too .

I'd try changing the fuel filter and if you can drain the tank and give it a rinse with fresh fuel, i'd also check the vacuum pipes and MAF, see if anything's maybe perished or come loose due to not being in use.

How much fuel was in it ?, could be a build up of moisture in the fuel tank ?

Just thought i'd pop on and introduce myself .
My names Wullie and i'm from just outside Glasgow in Scotland.
I found the forum by accident but its right up my street, i'm a big fan of older cars, generally stuff from around the time i started messing about and helping my dad when i was a small'un lol. Around this time it was XR3-3i's, XR2's, Orions, Nova's, Granada's, Cortinas etc (MY dad and uncle are car nuts too). I like cars you can fix with spanners and screwdivers, not plug it into a laptop, as helpful and easy as it is i find this really annoying.
I've never really had a 'Retro' ride as it were, don't know if my first XR3i counts ? (sorry about the quality of the image, it was scanned into the computer).
My current weapon of choice is my Vectra, its a 1998 1.8 LS thats had a fair bit of work put into it, i know its not retro but i'd like to have it long enough that it becomes it. Its still a fair old age at 16 and (to me) still looks good, it always puts a smile on my face.
Anyway, i'm off to have more of a look around the site and admire some of the cars (which there are some stunning examples).
Wullie.
