Also, I see in your gearbox thread you mention the MED engine and quick-shift
It hasn't got an LSD has it?
Alas your pictures are very small but it is definately not a 1965 mini, so any mechanicals etc won't relate to that period
It fits more into the mk4/5 era of the late 80/90s
Subframes, mounts etc are different from mid 70's onwards

Nice looking mini Lots of time and money spent When you say it's been built for hillclimbs, do you mean that, or is it just in the looks? As far as you know the Bilsteins are the only modification? And they are the damnpers / shocks? So it has standard rubber cones, bottom arms, tie rods? Does it have height adjustable struts (hi-los)? If all of that is standard i think it is down to the wide offset of the wheels and / or worn / loose bushes etc If you had the opportunity to try some alternative wheels you might find it very different I would imagine many a nearby mini enthusiast would be willing to help Have you mentioned this on the mini-forum? There is (obviously) plenty of folk who might have something to contribute Whereabouts are you?

Good, thanks or are you going to drill and tap the hubs and screw the bar directly into the hub flange...? This, really The hubs are already threaded, it's a fairly old trailer. the original studs are all screw-in I need to replace and make them a little longer Another question: is Locktite, or similar, suitable for securing the stud in the hub? Do i need to or will the wheel hold them? The original studs have a 'stop' around 1cm from the base to tighten them up against, so i'm not sure Ta,

Unless the owner comes and tells us otherwise, it's what I assume has happened. Ok Proof that all this vosa/biva/dvla/mot stuff isn't just a load of plums as people keep trying to tell me.... No, it's not

Wheel bolts with a 3/8 thread? They need to have the right seating for the wheels But yes that would do Where do i get those from?

|

|

No, Studs, similar to manifold studs. They screw into the hub and the wheel nut goes on top. See below

It does look good in those pics I probably didn't click the link as 90% of such things are just more blurry mess It might be worth replacing the initial pics here with some decent ones Make it easy for the buyer?

Where to get 3/8 UNF screw-in studs? As opposed to press-in?

I managed to see the other pictures on your photobucket account but it is not easy
You really need to add them to the ebay ad (or even here)
They show the car off
