Yeh i've learnt you pay per day and not how many times you go in and out per day
I've figured i could have gone in everyday we were there so have paid £12.50 for each day
Unfortunately the first day was Friday so will get a penalty for that one
I've also registered for auto-pay in case we go there again
Thanks

Thanks I've already read that and although it says you can't check but i thought i would ask a broader audience to see if anyone had maybe found a way or gleaned anything useful from personal experience

Sorry this being the friendliest car place i could think of i thought i would ask here,
Over the weekend i drove perilously close to the ULEZ on the east side of London. I'm fairly sure i drove through it at least once. But i'm not sure exactly how many times. Looking on the TfL website i can't see where you can check how many times you've been through and what you owe
Is there a way to check?
Should i just wait for letters to come through (which might include an extra penalty)?
It's a 2006 Volvo diesel and definitely gets charged

I've just realised the new info in the banner is in addition to what was there before
I don't think it needs to follow you as you scroll. It takes up room and the buttons can easily be accessed by scrolling up

Just seen the changes today
I don't like how more room is taken up with the banner which doesn't move as you scroll down
I hadn't noticed the old layout had something similar but it was smaller. It also had what i would call more useful functions (page number, actions and search)

Around 2003 i got hold of a Mini for my mum. She paid and i had it resprayed and added lots of bits to make it a nice car
In 2011 it got another respray and a new boot floor / subframe but was unreliable so i paid half towards a Fiat Seicento for her and kept the Mini at my place
This year i decided to get it going for her birthday. Another £2000 or so later and it's nearly back to being a nice car
I have a brother. He has never said explicitly how he feels about the car but every now and again he has said 'oh we've still got Mum's Mini'
I know he likes or liked Minis as we all grew up with them but i don't think he has any sentimental feeling for this one
My mum is in her 70s. I'm not planning on selling it but you never know
At the moment even though it's got some very nice new stuff on it i'm not sure it's worth more than £4000. 12 years after the last respray it looks almost ready to erupt in blisters again. And what i saw underneath before sanding it back and covering in wax makes you think
I have a sister as well but she feels no possessiveness towards it
Just wondering what people's thoughts and or experiences are

SOLVED When i put the carb back on at Christmas i must have pulled on the choke cable too much and possibly pushed the choke itself slightly up the cable meaning it was always slightly on It took a visit to Kelbrook Classics www.kelbrookclassics.co.uk/ (who i highly recommend) to notice the choke wasn't fully releasing and there was a kink in the cable a bit further down where it used to be attached I think because an orange light comes on when it's time to push the choke in i hadn't looked closely enough at it but of course that works in a different way So a relief to get fixed and hopefully maybe someone else might find this useful

After some months away from the car it now idles near 1500 (as opposed to below 1000)
I was losing brake fluid into the servo which i thought may have created a vacuum leak but i have replaced the servo with no difference to the idle
The two SUs appear to be closing fully. If i look past the piston they both appear shut. The choke cable isn't staying on
I've sprayed carb cleaner all around the carbs and hoses and inlet manifold and can't get it to change tone. I thought i had something initially but cleaner was just finding its way through the main intake
I did take a video of it though

Servo was full of brake fluid so replaced that
Still have high idle

I removed the pipe from the servo and put my thumb over it and nothing seemed to happen. I didn't notice any change in engine noise

I haven't got a voltmeter but used this battery charger screen
It shows the voltage going from 13.8 upwards
I will have to remove the alternator again to see what specification the voltage regulator is so i can order one

1973 Rover P6 V8
For the last few months i have had a brake fluid loss. I often don't visit the car for weeks at a time but the reservoir always needs filling when i do. I had assumed it was coming from a flexi pipe i replaced last year but it isn't
This week after starting the car for the first time in a few months there is a high idle of around 1400 rpm. I've been advised it is likely a vacuum leak. I sprayed carb cleaner around the carbs and heard no change in the engine noise
Someone mentioned the fluid loss and vacuum leak could be linked. So i checked the pipe going from the servo to the inlet manifold and found fluid in there
I will want to know why fluid is getting into the servo but i would first like to know if there is a way to test to see if the fluid / servo issue is causing the high idle (i.e. vacuum leak)
I thought putting my thumb over the pipe going to the intake manifold might do something but it didn't seem to. It does run rough when that pipe is left off the servo though

With the spring being longer brush protruded all the way through the housing. I have since refitted it and pushed it in from the other side. It is now within the square housing
Apart from that they fit so i installed them in the alternator
The reason i changed them was because the ammeter was doing this along with the ignition light
It's now doing this. Different but not much better

So far: A new battery has solved the starting issue I had tried to install an electric fan (wrongly, obviously) which had blown a fuse. The fuse in question was labelled 'ignition system' which didn't necessarily mean much to me but apparently is the one which controls all those ^^^^ electrical items. So they're all working now I ordered some alternator brushes to address the flickering ammeter and ignition light. Unfortunately the ones which have arrived are different so i'm looking into whether i made a mistake or the vendor And then i will have a closer look at the high idle which apparently could be a vacuum leak Between now and then i may drain the fuel and remove the sender to see there is a loose pipe on the inside which is causing the fuel leak Then it's just the mystery brake fluid loss. But overall making progress

The series 2 P6B has been sat since December. The battery was completely flat. Charged it over night but it only starts with a booster pack
It runs and drives fine but the idle sits at 1500, the fuel, temp and oil gauges don't work. The screen washers don't work. The indicators and stop lights don't work. Occasionally the ignition light flashes on but goes off
Help?

I think that means yes. I'll look into getting it fixed

I've got a Mini which at the moment only has one working squirter. I'm not sure why it's not working but if i don't get it fixed in time are they both needed for the MOT?

Quick update: I had previously tried a spot weld removal bit to see if it would go through the broken bit. I don't think it did but it removed some of the metal around it so i could get some needle nose pliers and manipulate it out Thank Christ Now i'll see if i can tap a new thread

I over tightened this I decided to tap a new hole and a cobalt drill bit has snapped off. Is there a thing which can drill out a broken drill bit? Sorry i know this is bad but it keeps coming back to my mind so i may as well say it out loud, can i glue the blanking plate over the top? I have a tin of this
