I just looked at your thread and thought it seems alot like the puch one on your N, might look into it, there is only 3 wires going to the light, so should be pretty easy to swap about. maybe further down the line ill play around with the idea of a round light, just want it on the road first. Yup I have both belt and chain covers plus the plastics that cover the lower part of the frame it is complete, they just are not in the photo.
The Rally will probably go to be honest.

Loads of info on MA, bike is going great have the lights and all working now... I just need a complete express headlight or a lens for my own which is proving to be tricky to find on both accounts.

Yup that is exactly my understanding on the requirements. Just need a tail light, no mirrors either or indicators, which are all things this little beast is absent off. I think in the long term a brake light retro fitted, some dropped bars, drop the seat, dif clutch springs, expansion exhaust, better tyres and probably a few other little tricks. I only go about 2 mile each way on it and its all in town communiting. So this is just a bit of fun compared to the aprilia.

Pressure wash is a good idea... my friend just bought a new one so ill go ask him to let me have a play with it.
It seems a very simple machine... going by ebay the tail light is a very small round affair showing as pre 78... so much be 77 as they didnt make them much earlier than this. It has no brake lights or even a place for brake switches to say it has been modified... lights are on or off and thats it.
Cant wait to get it on the road and modified a little.

I have been looking a little pedal and pop moped for ages now to replace my boring daily scooter and have been chasing this Camino for months (6) Originally for sale for far to much I offered him what I thought it was worth and he refused, found his number again the other week and offered him the same price again... he accepted, the ad was terrible, it look even worse than it does now, it had no paper work and it never said it was running.
So my friend Jonny and I jumped in the van and went up the country on saturday, turned up at the mans house and there it was sitting waiting for us... he told us how it had been sat in the basement for ages and how he had 'splashed some petrol and two stroke in the tank' called his kid to come start it... WTF it runs? the kid came out, pedaled it a few turns and it buzzed into life like a mouse chewing on paper.
To say we were happy was an understatement this thing was as tight as a drum. The only problem is the lights didnt work... turned out to be a blown bulb and the headlight itself is missing its glass...
So I need a new headlight if anyone has one, I believe it to be the same as a PF50... honda express one will fit too, please someone help so I can get it MOTd.
Once its MOT ill pick the curse word black paint off, it wasnt put on with a primer and the original paint isnt keyed so it just picks off, actually protected the whole bike really well.
Photos!
Against my current aprilia rally
And the headlight I need or an express one...

Will have to check out the pedal car stuff and see if anything will fit. Wax wise I will probably just use a good car wax, if its rust a wee bit ill just rub it back again, have to keep the pantia, but just make it look more acceptable and not a wreck lol. Latest update, cleaned, sanded, rubbed, rust stopper, primer and painted the wheels...

Another wee update... all stripped and ready for the next stage: Planning on colour sanding it back a bit to clean up the surface rust and paint, then compound and the a few layers of wax, want to keep all the warn paint but tidy it up.

The tyres are actually really good considering its age. You have to keep the patina, painting it all would just be wrong, but some things you have to tidy up to be practical...mummy might complain if he gets rust makes all over his clothes lol.
Updates should be pretty soon as I pull it apart and clean it as needed. There will be photos of course.

So I was out for my normal dander round the market in the city today, normally only the food catches my attention but today I picked this up for my 18 month old son. Everything moves free and true, so planning just a good clean, repaint the wheels and sissy bar, and coat of wax to protect the patina and he can rock it this summer.

Great colour, how many coats of paint is that ? Cheers, the colour is the original colour it left the factory in (obviously resprayed lol) colour is Iberian Red. No idea how many coats, my brother in law painted it for me... in his garage! there is 7 litres of sealer stuff so the new paint didnt react, 7 primer, 7 colour and 7 clear... it is straight from the gun, I was too excited to get it to a show last year I put it together without colour sanding it, just a coat of wax.

So this is going to be my first build / built thread. I was not planning on doing one but a few folk has asked if I was going to put one up,so here it is, short and sweet. Rubee is a 1968 Beetle, running a 1600 engine, dropped a touch closer to the ground, and a few little tweeks. I will let the pictures do the talking... The day I got her home... Pans out Pans in Shell sorted Paint on How she sits at the moment Few little tricks include factory sunroof, fog light without a bumper, reverse delete on the rear lights, oil temp mounted in the glove box and a set of wheels getting some pinstripe treatment...

Cool thanks for the info paul, I will pass it on to him. If he really wanted to go down the route of pressing these things, any idea where he would get the male and female parts from or made?

Hi Guys, Just wondering if anyone can help me? My Father in law is going on about this for some time and I finally caved and thought I would ask you folk if you know how to help him. He is looking for a set of dyes or punches that he can use to punch out some inch high letters from 0.6mm aluminium, to make stencils...he has been quite specific about inch high and 0.6mm, needs one for each letter of the alphabet and numbers as well. Anyone know where to get something like this? Many thanks, Chris
