just read your thread again , and this car is a thing of beauty. You've got great skills and even more patience.... love to see it finished and in the flesh. Thanks for the kind words I've been gradually sorting out all the paintwork niggles, takes a long time and there's not much to show for all the effort On the plus side, some bits are getting fitted. I deliberated over the badging and went for stealth in the end Also been spending a fair while drawing up the diff cover Just need to figure out how to make it now !

Next I need to do the slots. Fiddly bit here we come Off to conjure up a cunning stunt ..err, a cunning plan to hold these whilst cutting the slots, without donating body parts and blood to Ikky Ikky Perching, the God of left socks and difficult machining operations..... Looks a bit of a fiddle ! I would cheat and spark erode it

About time for an update, although I have been a bit lazy lately Got it back from paint, but still waiting on the bumpers, spoiler etc ! Found some bits I'm not so happy with on the sill and front arch lip so re did them... Came out OK in the end New old stock genuine front indicators Complete with horrible orange insert Attacked it with a dremel Will need some silver bulbs now but it looks much nicer - to me anyway Driver's side rear door has a couple of dings that my painter missed, so that is going to get re done as well soon. I got a good deal on the paint job, but it has caused me a lot of grief one way or another! Back axle and Jag diff are at MK Motorsport getting the 6 degree treatment and diff fitted, not sure when it's coming back yet.

I used a K&N universal air box when I fitted GSXR bodies to my RS2000 They come blank and have to have the holes cut to fit whatever you are using ...

Thing is, you need a throttle plate of some sort before the supercharger.
If you don't then it will be making boost all the time and the pressure will build up before the carb, lose power, lose mpg and make heat...
If you suck through the supercharger then you will need a backfire valve to prevent you inlet system blowing up. Intercooling would also be out of the question.
Also modern superchargers like the Eaton are not designed to have fuel go through them, from what I've read on the web the rear bearings can get the grease washed out of them and fail.
Be easier to turbo it if you really want to stick with a carb!

That looked like a takalamit? compressor you have, does it hold pressure or slowly lose it like mine ? Also if your running a single phase motor on it how long does it take to build up from empty? Bloody amazing standard of workmanship, the paintwork on the floor panel alone had me transfixed. Hi mate, Compressor is a 1964 Ingersol Rand with a 1hp single phase motor, was a freebie from a garage that was undergoing refurbishment. Does lose pressure slowly over a few days...

V8! V8! V8! V8! Is it in yet? New front and rear screens are in along with cleaned up rear quarter glass. Will be a long time before an engine goes in

Cool, thanks for taking the time to explain Interesting how things have moved on. The Mazak machining centre at work is a 1995 model, so it might be safer sticking to the coward's way for me!

Did I read that right at 1mm per tooth on the roughing operation ? What cutter are you using ? Is it hard on the machine ? I'm a coward and only run 0.1 to 0.15 per tooth at 156 metres/minute surface speed, cutting P20 tool steel with a 25mm diameter cutter - running 3 x 10mm round tips at a 1mm depth of cut. The Mazak machining centre will do 2mm depth of cut but I don't want to hurt it

Rover V8's cost a mint to tune, Iron block SBC engines weight a ton.
SBF would be my choice
