My tip is buy the best Saxo VTS you can find. Keep in garage for 20 years ??? PROFIT!
It will be stuff people lusted after when young. Also classic shape Impreza is due a price rise soon I reckon.

Most bits including body panels can be had from your local BMW dealer (for a price!). Bonnet and brake callipers are the pricey things to replace iirc. From the pic the bonnet doesn't look that bad but check the seam underneath at the front as this is where I think they start to rust. Also check the front callipers aren't seized (they probably will be) I seem to remember them being something stupid like £300 each new. I had a touring that had been stood outside for years and was quite solid apart from outer sills and passenger footwell (genuine BMW sill was about £50 I think). Have a golf yellow touring as inspiration!

2nd pic down, what's the car on the left? 404 maybe? The roofline looks like a Simca Vedette but not sure as you cant see if it has the tail fins.

Just a heads up, I think the A449 northbound is closed this weekend, so anyone using the M54 might have to re route.

Probably old news to most but I saw on the Daihatsu website the other day that they are no longer importing cars to Europe due to the strength of the Yen. Shame as they still make some interesting cars. Two of my faves avanzato tr-xx Sirion rally 2 or rally 4

Forgot to add look for something that can resize images "on the fly" as well, to save either having to resize before upload or all your posts having mega large images in them.
The above says it includes an implementation of ImageMagic which does this IIRC.
Also remember that not all hosting is created equal when it comes to installing things like this, especially any server side apps.

My cousin has a big block '68 charger with one of the a-fore mentioned "truck" manual boxes, and from memory it isn't the nicest gearbox in the World.

According to the manual tacho is one of the 4 pins from the coil (61 is the coil, 64 is the dash and L is the tacho.) I would check to see if the wiring is already in the multi plug for the dash. The manual also suggests that you can take the separate parts of the dash out and replace them so you could replace the clock with the rev counter from a xs / gt.

No clock? what year is yours just out of interest? ... I do object on principle to not having a temperture gauge... Its an '88 Junior, no clock on the left just an empty space with a peugeot logo, I'm going to get a digital one from a GTi I think as it is one of those things you don't realise you use so much until it is missing. Yeah temp gauge would be nice as well, The big light that says STOP isn't that helpful really.

As this is only a few miles away from me it would be rude not to turn up. See you all there.

The XS had a rev counter and I think was the same dash type as the other non GTis, but good look finding one for sale. You would probably need to provision for the other gauges you are missing as well (temp etc). I'm thinking of adding a rev counter for mine as well as it is a bit lacking in dash based info (doesn't even have a clock). I'll look through the wiring diagrams I have tonight to see what I can find. I was thinking a pod mounted where the coin tray should be (the triangular panel on the left-hand side of the instruments) as this could easily be replaced leaving no visible holes etc if it looked silly.

Hi I'm after a rear ARB and end plates from a 205 GTi, also an XS or similar front valence. Thanks
