on my Capri i had a 2.1 pinto on a 38DGAS carb which i swapped for bike carbs...best thing i ever did, was LOADS more responsive, had more power, better noise, ran smoother, got rid of the flat spot when pulling off that you can get with a 38DGAS, also it would do 30mph in 5th, with the DGAS it didnt like doin 30 in 4th, it would judder about etc, the bike carbs actually retured better MPG too on a run and bimbling about, though if you hoof it they do like a drink hehe...oh and the induction roar...mmmmm

for me its anythin that quite old (very vague) and has a bit of a following/fanbase say a 1990 Sierra, retro, but a 1990 Rover 200, not retro (just my opinion) also, just because something is old doesnt make it a classic or retro

get down to your local trimmers and ask for a quote (normally if you remove the items from the car first it will be cheaper as it saves time on labour)

looks like the centers are adapters that have been made up, suits well also this thread has decided it, back to black with the new Capri steels, was thinkin about a gold/bronze, but black just looks so much harder!

love that, the engine is a thing of beauty! only slight gripe is the modern wheels, needs some more period style wheels in my opinion, but its still gorgeous!

fitted a cherry bomb today and a lil vid the exhaust and engine are otherwise standard, its a great mod imo! its quiet on tickover, nice burble when you bimble about, loud when you hoof it and at motorway speeds its no louder cruising than the standard exhaust was :th:

The fan switch on the golf rad in my Capri is at the bottom of the rad, so I can't see it being a problem in the bottom hose
