Come on mate, couldn't you afford 295s? It would grip the road a lot better with some meat on those delicious rims! I must say that I seriously don't understand tyre stretch. I guess that my desire to go around corners quickly just over-rides any desire to be trendy.

On my/a track car, flip reverse this.

Those have stretched real good... no weird bead sticking out or anything. Perfect 'balloon' stretch.
NOW GET THEM ON A CAR SO WE CAN DRIBBLE!

I'm with you on this - fitting these to a car is like putting a big banner on top saying 'Please Mr Plod, come and go over my car with a fine toothed comb and give me a ticket for something ' I also think that this sort of thing does our hobby's reputation no good whatsoever. It ain't cool and it ain't clever. But hey, what do I know? I'm just a Fogey.

Bigger tyres please. That is asking for the plod or a blowout. Your contact patch is reduced and will affect your suspenion geometry. Wheels are designed to have the right size tyres. The offset of the wheel means as soon as the car is loaded it will camber to touch sidewall and every time you go over a bump in the road. But your right it does look cool
