Have a set of these and tested them on the Pao and didn't really go. Refurbed they look like this, and highly sought after in 5x130 pcd. Seen sets advertised from 1.5K in the states to 3K over here its a scene tax thing. Any way they are going but whats a fair price for a set of wheels needing a refurb? Have two people interested but my plan of getting them to make me an offer failed.

well, they're reasonably rare and very desirable wheels. not the kinda thing that come up for sale often. tbh, I wouldnt describe yours as needing refurb- they're quite tidy for unrestored wheels, yeah they're not mirror polished but they're not fecked either. as youve already mentioned a lot of people advertise a set of wheels like that for silly money which makes people go 'ooh a set of those is worth £xxxx", but they wont ever neccessarily sell for that amount- they're just chancing it. from what ive seem similar sell for, id say 1200-1500 is a realistic and fair price that they will actually sell for fairly quickly, rather than you be sat on em for years. thats obviously selling them in the right market- advertise them on the samba and theyll go.

So a Pao is 5x130? I'd have expected it to be 5x114.3

Pao is 4x100 but will fit with adaptors gotta love having the same PCD as VW's some times.
Have said £1500, for them not to bad a return I suppose, old man only paid £2,000 for the car they were fitted on 29 years ago.
