It's one of those head/heart decissions.
It will be a daily driver, and if needed, don't mind paying a few quick fixes with a specialist if the car itself is totally solid and in great knick, with a couple of niggle, if it is well below common selling price.
So, here are the shortlist (and they are all hated by the missus who tries to influence every car I've bought, and fails).
And I do love these exact ebay auctions.
Saab Classic 900 Cabrio
"All the power, grace and elegance you would expect from a performance car of this quality. Saab have long had a reputation for safety and comfort, with the rich deep leather and power hood the 900 turbo convertible gives a ride which is second to none.
On inspection you can see that the bodywork of this car is in inpeccable condition as is the interior. There are no rips or tears in the leather and the black mohair roof is in fine order. Electric windows all round and are all working.
The wood veneer facia is as new, and the carpets are all sound and clean.
This impressive car drives and handles well on the alloy wheels which are clad in very good tyres all round.
As for the bad bits, well I could only find one, that is that it sometimes jumps out of reverse but all forward gears are fine!

Unless it has already been done, there is a quick fix for a reverse problem that costs about £120 at a specialist, or worn mounts can cause reverse popout too. So can bad selector rod adjustment.
A nice 9000 CS Aero

C900 Carlsson

Looks like the only non original feature is the 9000 CD Carlsson or Griffin Alloys.
It is the Mileage that puts the missus off, apart from her hating the C900 shape with a passion, even though she loved being a passenger in my old one.
These three match all my Saab criteria for my next car.
Black, alloys, sunroof or droptop, good leather seats (nicer in the Carlsson, ultimate in the 9k Aero), just about run in and aircon.
Missus would prefer me to get something smaller and newer like
GM900
If I have to get a Saab at all. Eugh, no leather, aircon or turbo at all, and the mileage isn't much better, even if it costs peanuts.
