Hi There. I had a flyer stuck to my windscreen today at the RCS so I thought I'd surf on in and have a look. I was in the Sandglow Marina GT coupe with the two kids (who I'm not employing as messengers 'cos they're useless!) so whoever the bloke in the black teeshirt was - Hello! I was well impressed with the Blaze coupe running Wolfies and I remembered seeing the 'ratrod' Mk3 saloon on Ebay - looks in very good nick under the paint! I'll try and post a pic when I've worked out how this forum works.

Welcome to the board...was yours the one with the matt black bonnet?
As an interesting aside, marinacoupe (the wolfie-shod example) was 'recruited' last year in the same way as you!

Was it you in the "clash-of-the-titans" match against the Peykan Hunter jobbie? A truly great race!!

Yes, that was my car! 'Clash of the Titans'!!!!!! The last run I actually got the f'n clutch to play ball, anything over 4000rpm and it'd slip like bu99ery on the upchange so I short-shifted; that worked! I have a Dolomite o/d gearbox in there which pulls 40mph in 1st @ 6000rpm which usually p*ss*s off the Chav wagons from the lights, but the clutch must be warmed through to work properly and sitting in the queue didn't do it any favours. Does anyone know who had the Ital estate that ripped up the strip? There was no-one around when I went and had a look and the Ed or retro Cars was interested as well. Must get my one done.......

We were talking to the owner of that on Sat night. It's got a Rover 820 engine, Triumph Dolomite rear axle, and FOUR front brake calipers!!!! Really nice blokes, it was used to tow the yellow Davrian.

Ben........thats not Ben Clayton by any chance? Top Geezer! I'm thinking about dumping a Rover M16 lump in my beast, Ben has come up with the 'O' series backplate and that should bolt to the Dolly O/D box....I'm now tracking down an MGB Banjo diff to fit in my 10cwt axle which should give it enough guts to survive any upgrades. The axle I used at the Pod is now seriously FUBAR'd and the fuel tank is nicely rustproofed with EP90! Ho Hum! PS, How do I post pics?
