 Thats right Guys & Gals, this is your official 53-days-to-go reminder that all of us here have a night solely for ourselves and our cars at the Ace Cafe, London, on the 23rd July. We are not tagged onto the end of another night, nor just meeting each other amongst another club...this is for us! So, tell your mates, bring them and their retros down, have a bite to eat, a beer (if your not driving mind  ) and chat the night away with like-minded petrolheads ;D  - what could be better?!?! Directions & information on the Ace can be found here for those who aren't familiar with the venue. And before anyone asks what cars are allowed in.... you know what we all dig on here old, rusty, shiny, stock, modded, rare, british, foreign, etc etc. Everything pretty much except chav-wagons!! (so leave your Corsa on the drive LOL) I'm personally viewing this as a sort-of 'pre-party' for RR08 and I reckon we can get a pretty healthy turn out. So, whos in? |

I'm a bit worried due to some of the many horror stories I've heard about the attendants there denying entry, and It's about a 220 mile round trip..
I shall make the trip if I can get that weds/thurs off work, though.

You and your ride will be welcome. JS, does that mean that one of the RR crew will be on the gate? Depending on who mans the gate, their entry policy on the Classic Cars night (in association with the mag of the same name) often bears little resemblance to what the writers of the mag would let in (e.g. things like turning away an immaculate BMW Ur-M3). Also I recall at least one occasion when the Gatekeeper (no sign of the Keymaster though ) decided not to fill up the centre at all, much to the annoyance of many people there. These are by no means frequent occurrences but with our eclectic mix of vehicles, it could pose a problem / cause upset for those who have driven quite a way to attend. |
