Hello everyone. I have been lurking around here for a while so I thought it was about time I registered and introduced myself.
I currently own 2 minis. A '79 1275GT (I will post some pics in the readers rides section in a minuate) and an '84 city which I am putting a suzuki swift GTI engine in ;D.

Yep. It will fit neatly in the std roundnose front I have started modifying the subframe. The engine now fits in. The next job is to start working on the engine mounts. I cant wait to get it finished ;D.

hello and welcome, the swift GTi lump is an often overlooked engine, what a top idea to bung it in a mini.

Welcome along I've just seen the picture of your 1275 on the readers ride sections - tis very nice. Your Suzuki engined Mini sounds interesting, would like to see some progress pictures of that I always thought that the 3 cylinder engine from a Dahiatsu Charade GTTi would be a cool installation into a Mini. P.S; Are you going on the Riviera Run this year?

I did look at one in the scrapper when I was taking the engine out of a swift, it was very tempting.
I have seen a couple of minis with swift engines on the internet, so i knew it was possible. All of the conversions that I have seen use coilovers, I am hopeing to use the std suspension setup to keep the handling characteristics.
I will hopefully post some pcs at the weekend for you.
