I imagine most reports on there are curse word.

Wonder if this'll get through?
OFP 857
Last night I witnessed a white Beetle being driven apparently without a driver. I can only assume that they were rummaging in a footwell for a fallen CD or similar.

I love it when people say that we have lawless roads and that drivers are inconsiderate. It's just not true. We are the most polite driving nation on earth. Beware the following:
Italy - ignore pedestrian zones, accelerate toward zebra crossings, drive 3cm from back bumper of car in front at 200kph while gesticulating.
Vietnam - no traffic lights, no traffic law, complete chaos of mopeds, trucks, bikes, chickens, people, etc
India - Mayhem. City traffic like stirring porridge - somehow it flows. Countryside: no pavements = lots of pedestrian death. Indians prefer to drive without lights to preserve their batteries.

"Why only yesterday I saw a midget driving a tractor through Surbiton. He couldn't reach the pedals but had a trained otter pressing brake and accelerator on cue."
When oh when will the streets be safe from midget otter tractor driving teams?

I reckon a competition for who can get themselves on there for the stupidest reason is in order.

Matt Now that sounds like my kind of idea.... *Edit reported my old Mk5 Tina for a dangerous display in a scrap metal yard at Liverpool docks. I clearly recognised the i inch shard from the shredder as being part of the o/s/f door bottom that I plugged with filler.

I like the idea of shopping ourselves for something silly, so I've just signed up under an assumed name and sent the following report about myself driving dangerously in the Imp, which is currently SORNed and on axle stands in my garage. I'm sure you'll agree that it's all completely plausible and believeable stuff. ;D : "On 05 January 2007 I was travelling eastward towards Glasgow at precisely 47.5mph in my Rolls Royce Silver Ghost when I observed the aforementioned Hillman being driven at what to my trained eye appeared to be driven at a velocity of 258.078mph.
The driver of this vehicle was of most ungentalmanly appearance, with long dark hair, a leather jacket and an unwaxed moustache. I believe it to be none other than infamous local Bolshievist and political dissident Craig "Revolution 9" McArthur, who I have heard was attempting to set the record for the fastest road legal motorcar in the world, using his 875cc Hillman, which he had prepared for the record by removing a great deal of weight, and painting the car brown for aerodynamic purposes, the record previously being held by Johnny Foreigner in some sort of disgusting French contraption known as a Bugatti. I attempted to photograph the scene, and would have fifteen marvellous pictures of the event, but for my unfortunate descision to leave the lens cap on. While I congratulate any effort to bring such a record back into British possession, I feel that Her Majesty's highways are no place to attempt such a feat, and also that it sets a dangerous precedent if we allow colonials such as Mr. McArthur, a Scotchman, to hold such records, and may result in such travesties as nationalism in Scotland, India or the Americas, resulting in demands from independance in these places, which may even result in the weakening of the Empire itself. Heaven forbid! Surely we should instead allow an Englisman to pilot such a vehicle to show all colonials and foreigners that the Great British Empire remains dominant! Rule Brittannia! Hoorah!
Yours Sincerely,
Dr. General Sir Humphry Cyrril Jalopy Walrus,(Retired) O.B.E., M.B.E., B.B.C, O.M.G., W.T.F., L.O.L. Former Commanding Officer, The King's Own Chandoliers, 1935-2004."

Foogin retards!

hey billy - those 'lentil knitting gobshites' (ie critical mass) make me laugh my cock off - I'm a hardcore cyclist as well as loving the motors, and they are just basically knobbers who have no roadsense at all - I've ridden with a few 'demo' groups, and they just shouldn't be allowed on the road as pedestrians - let alone cyclists - the only way to survive traffic on a bike is to WATCH WHERE YOU ARE GOING!! - 3 years inner city liverpool on a bike with only one functioning brake and I'm still here!! (just accept that cars, trucks, buses etc are dangerous!) grrrrrrr! - still, was dissapointed that the naked cycle demo was london not manchester - as my mate was in that one on his chopper (think 40 odd year old angry kid!) and that plank with the site - WTF?? - kev Thank feck for that, a sensible fellow cyclist! I used to ride almost every day on the streets of london and basically felt ashamed to be on 2 wheels because of a lot of the the cyclists and the percieved image of them. I rode with fairly wibblepoo brakes, and as you say, you just have to have your wits about you! Makes my blood boil when I see cyclists riding like curse word. That websites poo too ;D

I love it when people say that we have lawless roads and that drivers are inconsiderate. It's just not true. We are the most polite driving nation on earth. Maybe compared to the countries you listed, but having been in New Zealand for the last three weeks, the general level of driving out there, especially the levels of courtesy towards other drivers is a lot higher than ours. For example, accepted NZ etiquette includes slower moving vehicles reducing speed / pulling over (either onto the hardshoulder where there is one, or a lay-by) to allow faster ones to overtake. Thank feck for that, a sensible fellow cyclist! I used to ride almost every day on the streets of london and basically felt ashamed to be on 2 wheels because of a lot of the the cyclists and the percieved image of them............. Makes my blood boil when I see cyclists riding like curse word. Agreed, and when cycling, I see far more bad / dangerous / unacceptable riding by other cuclists than I see when in the car. It's not confined to one section / demographic either; whilst the usual suspects described previously are just as guilty as ever, they are far from the only cyclists who consider theselves exempt from the vast majority, if not all, traffic laws. In fact, when I take the bike to work, I am very much in the small minority of cyclists who do bother to obey the traffic laws. The number of idiotic cyclists also makes me ashamed to be a cyclist, and as for the militant crowd, don't get me started since as with the idiots, my views on them are simply unprintable.

Bring back capital punishment! This was a heinous crime red light report: "Driver chatting on mobile phone while waiting at junction, then made right turn with left hand only on wheel." How do people who are unfortunately without two limbs manage to control a car I wonder...now if it was a one limbed driver on the phone I could see this might be a problem I mean after all...how could they hold the phone....
