As above, really. I am having a think about two of their cars (not wildly retro, unfortunately...) and wondered if anyone had experience with them, good or bad? Thanks in advance Yes, I have, they have a nice set up. Karl is dead straight, no bs, all the cars are nicely presented. Could not fault them, the whole experience top notch.

Take a look at the classifieds done time and you will see exactly what I mean, those of us who aren't in the market for a 10k Peugeot 305 etc have the wade through many many as to find any thing new. At least limit it to one advert per section Someone’s bitter 😂 So I went and waded through: 1985 and older, KGF has 5 cars marked sold and one for sale - of 35 on the page. 1986-1995, 1 for sale, 1 sold - of 35 on the page. 1996 - Y reg, 1 for sale, one sold - of 35 on the page. That’s a grand total of 3 cars for sale and 7 marked sold on the front page (105 cars). Dead easy to spot as they’re all PE1 postcode (and they always mark them sold unlike many), and I for one always open them to have a look.

As you say, we always have a look! I admire supercars in the street even if I'll never afford one.

I'm about to inherit a little bit of cash, and my amazing wife said "blow it on a car, but something you've always wanted" Its always nice when our significant others support our passions (mine is has equally supportive) - I think you need to deduct £100 from your budget and treat her to a small present Indeed, although she already knows I'm a bit of a catch! Kidding! I've always been one to show her my appreciation, although she would probably suggest I have some strange and unusual ways to show her how much I love her. Maybe I could treat her to a Capri with a "Dave and Tracy" sunvisor, as we're from Essex?

The pale yellow mini they had for sale recently was actually a good price for a clean original mini. This one: linkIf they were genuinely overpricing there car's, they wouldn't sell. Also it's not hard to spot which advert is a KGF car as it has a PE1 postcode in capitals. If the adverts offend you don't click on them 🤷🏼♂️

Bitter would imply that I had a axe to grind with them, I don't. Glad you spent the time doing it, I'm on mobile so got slightly different numbers but anyway; I look in the early section pre '86 as that I what I'm interested in. From your numbers one seller currently has 17% of the cars on the first page. None of which I personally have any interest in - this primarily being a forum for modified cars, I'm obviously not alone in this looking at the number of likes my original post got. To be honest I just stopped looking at the classifieds section. As to their prices dilligaf? If they can get those and it looks like they do then good luck to them! Now if for example 20% of one section were all hot rods or yanks from Dez or even Jowett's from Grumpy that would be cool as they both contribute to the forum, it's the lack of contribution that rubs more than the sheer number of ads if you understand that?

^^^^^^yep but you’ve hit the nail on the head I personally am not interested in jowetts, but I do like grumpys superb work What I’m saying is if a Jowett came up for sale I wouldn’t look it’s not my thing The same as your not to keen on kgf prices?? That’s what makes this forum so special This debate has been very level headed so far , I respect your opinion too.....I’d love to have the funds to walk in to kgf and say I’ll take that low mileage cortina or Mercedes please, I’d trust them as said before

I often get sent links to KGF cars. I find myself thinking where did they find that, and who is going to pay seven grand for an immaculate low mileage poverty spec 80s Peugeot? People clearly do though so all credit to them for hunting this stuff out.
If you think they are expensive, buy yourself a car from somewhere else.

The only thing that bugs me about the KGF operation is they change the advertised price to SOLD when the car gets sold. I don't need to see the final bargained price, but it would be nice to say a little down the line.... "KGF advertised a Mint Citroen Xsara Picasso for 10K and it actually sold"
If I'd have had the space I'd have been off to look at the Cortina GXL they had a little while ago.

I have been lucky enough to go with friends to view cars, and also see cars for sale at CCA, and what people have sold cars for including the recent CCA auction when I viewed a couple of cars for people.
IMHO, KGF are reasonable. They know the market, and price the cars accordingly.
When my friend was looking for an E46 M3 drop top, KGF didn't have the best example, but it was better than most on the market ; FWIW I saw 5 when I looked for my M3, and a further 4 when my mate bought his (the KGF car sold very quickly). At £12k, it was better than a few £12k cars I saw as well. Yes, my friend got an equally nice car for £11k, but it took 4 cars (minters that were shitters), time, money (fuel isn't free remember and if you are like him (2 young kids and working away alot), neither is time. Sure, if you want to swing your dick around, you can say "you'll always get a car cheaper elsewhere" but is it really worth it?
I think people enjoy giving them a punch as they are a 'dealer, they only care about money, and nothing else' attitude. The fact is, to maintain a number of cars, it cost time or cash, and in most cases both. If a dealer is willing to represent that as opposed to a Facebook group who belittles car owners, yet moan when the car is broken for spares (thus driving the value up of the remaining cars) the latter are their own worst enemy. At least KGF can give a fair representation of the car from when I've seen cars advertised by them. If they sold turds, I'd doubt even with their profile, they'd still be in business.
Just look at NA MX-5s ; I saw a dog of one sell for £2.1k requiring sills, with a queue of people behind waiting! A friend and I were regretting offering £1.5k for the pile!
As for the comment about A TDI will outdrag a mild hatch, my dad's BMW E61 535d would destroy my E46 M3 (or my now sold 300BHP 944 Turbo) or <insert any 80s-00s sportscar here within reason> with simply a remap ; they are stupidly quick with a remap. It could probably outbrake the Porsche too even with the brake upgrade that had. I know what most people would prefer to drive however. With that logic, we'd all be driving BMW 320d Tourings with a remap or Audi A4s etc.

Never bought from them but enjoy their adverts.
They have interesting cars, with good pictures and good descriptions.
What’s not to like?
Additionally. They seem to sell cars pretty efficiently. This would suggest their pricing is fine or that they have a sensible level of negotiation.

i do feel they are top end prices and suited to collectors, or windfalls, rather than enthusiasts. but i agree with previous comments that the asking prices are well considered for each cars individual market (meaning stuff like sierra cosworths are tens of thousands, and stuff like old nissan micras and fiest popular plus are not) the detail and effort into their adverts are top drawer, far from lazy like some others who think just being rare sells the car

chap called richard beel runs it, hes quite vocal on a few of the facebook groups. (especially vocal when we were discussing a gte he had for sale for 14 grand) i do feel they are top end prices and suited to collectors, or windfalls, rather than enthusiasts. but i agree with previous comments that the asking prices are well considered for each cars individual market (meaning stuff like sierra cosworths are tens of thousands, and stuff like old nissan micras and fiest popular plus are not) the detail and effort into their adverts are top drawer, far from lazy like some others who think just being rare sells the car I’ll stand corrected but I think you’ll find Karl Fasulo, owns & runs it, hence the name KGF (I assume his middle name must begin with a G’) & throughout this entire thread, I think I’m right in saying, I’m the only one who said they had actually purchased a car from them, which was the op question. It was Karl who I dealt with all the way through & certainly got the impression he was ‘the man’.
