He is the Retro Rides Person of 2004 of that there is no doubt. The founding editor of Retro Cars Magazine, he is pretty much responsible for unifying a whole set of people.
So in honor of his upcoming award, we're going to ask him some questions.

* Can I have a job? ;D
* Were you surprised by the success of the RC Show?
* What plans are there for the mag in the future?

How many people do you get asking for jobs? Whats the oldest you would consider a car to Retro? Whats the newest? What was your favourite car you featured? What cars did you wish you'd featured whilst you were editor?

If you had the time/space/money, what five cars that you haven't already owned/got would be in your garage?

Couple of questions asked of Nick Mason that I thought were pretty good, so I'll reuse them here :
Whats the fastest you've gone in a car?
You only have £1,000 to spend on a car, what do you get?

|
|
|
do you ever think of using your influence within the car communities politically?
If you have what would you try to make happen?

do you ever think of using your influence within the car communities politically? If you have what would you try to make happen? Hooray! Retro Revolution! ;D ;D ;D I could do that! The workers revolutionary car club! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Alright, my question is... Do you think the classic car community is being singled out and mistreated by the government?I'd think that he'd have more insight than a lot of us since he's no doubt been involved with bringing us a lot of the news stories that concern us through working with Retro Cars and other mags, so he might have a good view of the situation.

When you started Retro Cars, were you sure there would be enough interest to sustain the sales you needed?
Which of these two magazines fits your personal tastes best: Classic and Sportscar or Custom Car?
What are you getting for Christmas?

Simon Woolley... Please can you confirm that you are a 205 owning (?) magazine editor from somwhere(?), and not the same person as Forum good-egg, and slammed cressy owner, the Dartford(ish) dwelling RMad. It would appear that some forum members are a little confused as to your (and t'other Simon's) identity.
