Hey Guys My R32 is still being worked on, engine going in soon. Hope you don't mind me starting a thread on this as its not that old, but interesting at least. I have just purchased this little 1999 Suzuki Alto Works RSZ in Japan. I'll keep this thread as a log of my work, plan is to up the power from the standard 64bhp or so from its 660cc turbo but keep it looking standard. Its got almost 100k miles on it but mechanically solid which is what I wanted. These little things are meant to have pretty awesome little engines. Always had a soft spot for them. So, currently the plan is simple: 1. Get it here 2. Settle Tax and VAT 3. Delivery/Pickup 4. SVA/Register 5. Tax, insure, MOT (inc fog light) After that the plan is: 1. Service, check over, repair anything including a full underseal 2. Tyres, brakes, wheels - checked, swapped or whatever is needed 3. Air filter, decat (if it has one) and mild boost control Beyond that I'll start meddling with the thing to squeeze more power. Its meant to be a really solid little 660cc engine capable of very high power on standard internals. I'll likely swap the little intercooler and investigate some form of aftermarket ecu. The engine is a VVT K6A. Anyways, sorry its not retro yet but I hope it fits here. A few pics from the auction: It'll be a few weeks at least before its here. I'm going to try and not buy anything for it till it arrives, must resist! I see it as a good companion to my R32 GTR

Owned a 660cc Turbo Mira Classic myself, basically a Cuore Avantzo with a funny "classic" look and it was an absolute riot to drive! Especially as it had a massive dump valve.

I hear they can take quite a bit more power. Probably aiming for around 100bhp for now.
Plan is to raise the boost, decat, injectors and plugs etc. Probably go with that first before going piggyback ecu for higher power.
All payments sorted today, curse word exchange rate but hey ho. Appointed a customs agent to deal with the paperwork for the sake of £95 it saves me some hassle.
I'm keeping my eyes open for parts. It seems Starlet GT injectors are a straight swap but I'm trying to resist in case it already has some bits.

Nothing much to update, I couldn't wait so ordered a few bits Got a speedo converter for a Jimny here which I hope will work, but if it doesn't I'll stick with km's. An Apexi panel filter also arrived as well as 3 iridium plugs. Just a few bits On another note, the car is on its way to Newcastle, so that isn't too bad for me. I had expected it to go to Southampton but fair play, a bit closer

I'm not sure of any others, few people seem to use the Suzuki forums etc and most advice is from NZ actually. I'm sure there will be a few somewhere but Ive never seen another. Yeah, cant wait really, was a bit miffed at it taking the slow boat being 7th of September before its here. I think I'll be going with the Link G4 ECU which should control boost too... should be good

If you know Stavros, maybe worth checking out what he's been doing with his little 600cc noddy car. Put on a homemade turbo, cheap FMIC and the car is turning out pretty mental for a homebrew setup
