Pretty good. Not very fast, but fast enough and great fun.
Now that the rattles are gone (well most!) its a lot better. The noise is great and it revs really well all the way to about 7k. Its tiny little tyres would stuggle with too much high speed cornering although Ive not really pushed it to try.
I was doing 70 on the motorway the other day and honestly felt like double that.

Not much to report, the car has been running well. Ive been hunting down more rattles and its making a difference, almost all gone No major work due until the r32 is ready. The CV's definitely need done but it isn't cheap as you have to buy the whole driftshaft or send them away for a refurb. So, Skyline gets picked up and this gets dropped off. I also checked the tyre pressures and they were too high, so dropped them down and it has helped the ride a little bit. Its so damn stiff

Glad to hear the Alto is running well mate :-) Getting stuck in...
Thats a real lil beauty you have there I like it. When you get the dash cam will be great hearing it on the move.
As well as the turbo whistle do you also get that old style turbo wooosh like the old 6g VR4?

Hey Pezza, good to hear from you mate, hope you are well. Yeah, the noise is by far the most "turbo" sounding of any car I've had, its all on boost though with little noise on the blow-off. A wee update on the Alto. Its been running great and I've spent time sorting more rattles, they are almost all gone! and what a difference. The last one was the boot latch, but that was a nightmare to actually locate, done in the end. We noticed that one of the little vacuum filters was not passing easily so for the sake of a few quid I changed it over. No idea if it matters but done it anyway: Next up, another simple one. Ordered a spare key (the right damn one this time!) from Amayama who are great for importing parts. I'll get it cut and then just swap the guts over so I'll have remote locking again: Next up, I bought a cheap side mount intercooler from a Skyline GTST... look at the size of it though compared to the top mount! Anyways, plan is to strip the existing pipework down, somehow plumb the skyline intercooler in and move the air filter from the box to a cone at the turbo on the left hand side: No rush on that though as the CV's are still curse word. So as above, when the Skyline is ready this will go in to have the CV's refurbed. So I'm not using it that much in the meantime. Lastly, it needs a new battery... not keeping charge for long in this cold weather even with the Ctek doing its magic.

Short Update Delayed going in for the CVs as the Skyline wont be ready However, I think I'll just drop it in to get done anyways. Received some Starlet GT injectors and a Fuel Cut Defender but I think I'm just going to get a Greedy Emanage Blue and do that at the same time. Should be interesting.

econditioned driveshaft's fitted Speedo changed to MPH New boost controller fitted Fuel Cut Defender fitted Car driving well Got a few wee bits to sort: Odometer to be changed from kph to mph Door rattle has come back, its the bars in the door hitting the sheet metal, driving me nuts Likely try a new cone air filter setup just to test the difference Going well though Wee clip from the dashcam, sound is curse word, it doesn't pick up the turbo at all yet in the car its the best bit and the loudest. Wasn't going to bother posting it but screw it. Super non-event, pointless, but hey ho : Polished it up today as well, so took a few pics:

Well I saw it on ebay, spoke to owner Olly on the phone, travelled a fair distance to view it, had a look around and thought it was reasonably solid example, probably not been looked after quite as well as axeboy had, and I found out about the broken rear spring and it doesnt select 2nd gear going down from 3rd for some reason. But the test drive blew all my reservations away, what an engine! Ive never had so much fun hahaaa! So we agreed on a price, put a deposit down and finally collected it after my holiday away, which Olly was patient enough to wait for. We towed back home to mine with an 'A frame' on the back of my mates freelander which was fun... the straps holding the rsz bottom wishbones kept coming undone! Anyway finally safe home in one piece and now looking to get it restored back to how axeboy had it! Good job I enjoy searching and finding things, parts and information are so hard to find!
