Sure
For me it was:
Second Hand BOV the Garage had spare: £40 (they adjusted the springs to suit the car) New Manual Boost Controller: £25 New Boost Gauge: £50 (a guess) Fitting of all: £135
A new BOV can be anything, but just get a second hand one if you can, brand name new ones are a bit silly pricing I think.
That's just pricing roughly based on my car, might help you with an idea though.

Car is home safe and sound. The front CJ joints can wait till the Skyline is ready then itll go in for a refurb. The speedo converter isn't on, the plug to the gearbox is a nightmare to get to.. I might try it in a few days or leave it till when the CJ joints are done. It sounds amazing, the turbo whistle is super loud. The BOV isn't working so I'm going to go back to the recirc. Not too fussed as the BOV was just a little bit of fun. The noise of the turbo alone is so funny anyway On the motorway its at about 4000 revs for 65mph but is quite smooth and quiet. Little bit of exhaust drone so 50 is worse than 60 actually. I managed to get the remote key to work which is a bonus and Ive ordered a spare from Japan. I'm pretty done for today. Tomorrow I'll probably take the interior out and clean. I might pack it as well as I'm getting mad rattles from the boot plastic, so it should be easy to pack and silence Boost is set to 1 bar which is about the max it can go before fuel cut. Its fast enough, feels so damn fast... but actually isn't really Great fun, super rigid/stiff but as above, the best part is the noise. The mudflaps... you guys reckon they should go? I'm in two minds... might be cleaner look without? A few pics and guff: New stereo fitted: BOV install (sticking at the moment) but easy to revert

Went out in the afternoon and sorted a few bits. Cleaned the interior more and added new seat covers. The seats are decent but I want to keep them that way. The remote locking is intermittent so I'll await the new key coming before further investigating, hopefully it wont be too expensive to programme. I packed the rear hatch with sponge a little to stop rattles, has improved things. Also added a washer to the passenger seatbelt fixing point as it was rattling too Polished some of the bodywork and used metal polish on some of the badges The back seat wouldn't fix securely into its latch so I fixed that too Tomorrows plan: Check the horn, I hit it by mistake and it stayed on until I hit it again Remove the mudflaps (back wheels off) Fit the BOV situation Check the remote locking sensor which seems to be at the rear view mirror (just in case its that causing issues)

I'd say keep the flaps. But if they are easy to take off then just give it a go

Mudflaps off today, to be honest they were a bit broken up anyway so gone. Looks good without so I'm happy. Drove around a bit today and had some fun. Got a cheap BOV to try and its working fine but I think I'm going to go back to recirc tomorrow night.. just need to pickup the old pipework to do so. Lost side lights and dash lights today, fuse blown and keeps blown. Not sure but Ive not checked to see if any of the bulbs have gone which might cause it? Anyways, will do tomorrow when light. Edit: Found a blown front side light bulb, hoping that's the offender Ive got one spare bulb and one spare 10A fuse, hopefully I'll be lucky tomorrow

Few little updates. Sorry, all quite cosmetic but doing what I can 1. The original pipe for the recirc was cut and binned unfortunately so Ive ordered a new one to at least give me the option of going back to recirc. Meanwhile I went back to the Bailey BOV which was greased etc and its running well. 2. The fuse blowing issue was actually an incorrect wire on the stereo when wired, no harness available so there were a few wires of questionable source which was causing the light fuse to blow. Something to do with the dimmer function. Happy it was found though 3. I removed the intercooler shroud to see if it make any difference and its hard to tell, so probably not Going to put it back on today and test. 4. I stripped the boot right down and found a little surface rust patch which I treated and painted. Wasn't an issue but happy its done. 5. While stripping the boot I took the opportunity to pack it better. Found an old sponge and cut it to suit the original pads where plastic meets metal and its made a good difference. The ride is so hard any kind of noise reduction is useful 6. Had some sticky curse word on the dash which was removed by girlfriends hairdryer 7. Removed all 3 wiper arms and sanded/painted black The new back badge and spare keys arrive on Monday from Japan so that's next. I drove quite a bit last night and the little thing does take me by surprise. The noise is so good but I never really revved it high before, but it seems to love it. It revs cleanly all the way to 7k+ without any struggle. Although I said it wasn't fast before, I take it back, revving up around 6 to 7k and change gear it really does go well. I genuinely laughed last night on a straight going from 3rd to 4th at higher revs, it pulled superbly. I'll probably buy a cheap little dashcam and take a few clips. It has a very annoying squeak coming from underneath that I cant locate, that has to go. And I will need to get the CV's done at some point.

Had a week look at the pipework today and my my is it Tiny. The air inlet is maybe the size of a 50p at best. it also has a wild amount of bends and twists to go through so I reckon it has to be improved Pic here of the inlet: And a pic of where the air goes currently: So I removed the pipework before the airbox for now to see if that helps but I'm thinking it must be better to remove the whole lot and put a cone on the LHS of the bay next to the turbo. The other option is to out a cone filter where the airbox connects up at the top right.... ideas more then welcome! A wee vid of the idle/rev to 3500ish for info.

So, a few things. The badge on the back was a bit broken up so that was replaced, only £11 from Japan, but looks decent: The air intake pipework has been removed and I've ordered a 90 degree black 51mm bend to replace it, wee pic here of the intake size versus where it goes into the airbox. Might help a bit, for £6 its worth a shot. Other than that I ordered 2 new keys from Japan. One was £7 and one was £70. Sods law, the £7 works great and the £70 one doesn't.... sigh! So, I checked part codes etc and its my own damn fault. For some reason I picked the wrong part number and I have no idea why, the number I picked cant be seen anywhere... must be age. The lights were not too foggy but today I used more toothpaste on them and they are a little clearer again which is great. Anyways, going into the garage on Friday to have the Stereo wired properly and while were at it I'm going to have a go at looking into some of the squeeks and rattles

Would benefit from a silicone with cone straight off the turbo. May start getting issues with boost creep then and also be louder induction noise if thats a good or bad thing to you

Yeah, it has a few other pipes along the way but I wad thinking the same. In saying that, the noise currently as it is above is perfect. Not loud, just sounds good The real reason I might move the pipework now is to help get a larger intercooler in there.

Top mount from a starlet or rx7 could work well, front or topmounted

Yeah,I'm tempted to try a bigger top mount first for ease.
Starlet or interestingly the Isuzu Trooper top mount looks like a good fit too.
I'll keep my eyes open, might be worth a fiddle

Today the radio was wired back up and is working without blowing fuses Also refitted the recirc setup and removed the BOV. Its lost a bit of its comedy turbo whistle so I might go back, at least now I can switch around. It never ever had a daft blow off noise but the whistle was great. Gearbox oil re-filled and while on the ramp we changed the shocks to a softer setting, what a difference, it was far too rigid. And a quick pic of the underside:

A few bits done. The recirc wasn't working. Basically the raised boost was too much for the factory recirc, it was down on power. So I have went back to the BOV setup. I have ordered some new pipework though to make it a bit more secure. I fitted a 90 degree bend at the airbox inlet and that seems to work well, it now avoids the radiator pipework. The annoying rattles have stopped! Yeeees! One was an exhaust hanger which my good friend at SVS fixed with a big cable tie The other was a metal to metal noise in the interior. After much digging, a few sponges and some testing I finally found the culprit. It was the seatbelt mechanism behind the interior plastic hitting the body. The screw at the top was loose so I used a rubber washer and tightened.... noise gone! Another huge bonus I didn't see coming was due to the size its so damn easy to clean, plus I can dance around it in the garage, so much space.

Small updates. The BOV pipework was quite long (and blue) so Ive changed it to a better setup using a new silicon 25mm to 19mm reducer. Much tidier, fits nicely. Also fitted new Philips bulbs. For the sake of £13 from Amazon it makes a decent difference. On the lookout for a cheap top mount intercooler. Maybe Starlet or similar but Id like to get one with central inlet/outlets. Pic of the 90 degree bend at the inlet to the airbox: The new BOV pipework, much simpler and tidier: And finally, the headlights plus the size of the car in my garage
