That's quite a difficult request actually. The wheels aren't far off cream anyway and the easist way to make the tyres low-profile is to make the wheels bigger which would give you a false impression of how they would actually look.

I'm sure someone will give it a go (it may even be me) but don't expect the same speedy reaction as if you'd asked for a set of easy to find rims and a perfect side-on shot. ;D That sounds like a critisism, but honestly, it's not!

i will be putting 165/55r13's on which will reduce the current tyre diameter from rought 570mm to about 520mm, then a decent lowering at the front as first.
perhaps just lowering the car would be interesting to see

TBH, if you want low profiles, I'd fit bigger diameter wheels, so that the rolling radius is the same. Firstly that won't mess up the gearing (& speedo) but also because the overall diameter that you already have fills the arches very nicely

Bit of a hack, but i was surprised at how well the front wheel tyre combo turned out. I wish i had taken the time to get it centered better now. I really don't have any idea how to go about colour changes so i cant help with that.

think i need to explain where i'm coming from. bigger diameter wheels (ie moving up to 14's etc) isn't really an option because of the distinct lack of cheapish rims that a)come in the 95.25 triumph pcd b) have a decent amount of dish. this is why i will stick with the current rims going for the low profiles still on 13's will indeed curse word the speedo reading (easily rectified) and the gearing but i am trying to achieve a certain look - dished 13" rims with low pro's (within reason and availability) then lowered. keepign the high wall tyres will produce problems when lowered and tbh is "standard" looking. many spitfires tend to be the domain of the flatcap beardy types - i'm trying to move the spit away from this, guided by what other forums members have done to there cars.
