what cars had a turbo motor & a carb/s?
whether they are fwd/awd/rwd
i know the r5 had them as did the metty turbo but are there others

Mini 998cc grp bonnet & boot, lightend shell, 6-point cage, soon to have a turbo on the 998 engine (t2 frm a r5gt) rs turbo intercooler, hoping to get 120ish bhp?
father is building a Mini Van 1330, 45 weber, 100bhp@wheels

now theres a setup that would be nice to get hold of to put on another car twin dellortos, they must be a sealed version or are they ike that! the t3 can be improved too! chrikey those carbs & turbo could make a bloody fast retro motor (non-esprit)  |

TVR 3000M turbo or whatever it was called with the turbo essex v6. Saying that the Capri Tickford Turbo had the same engine but with less power.

I thought the Tickford Capri used the cologne 2.8 and injection raher than a carb essex?
And surely it made bags more power than the TVR too?

It did, but I'm sure there was a Broadspeed Turbo Mk2 Capri with the 3.0 Essex as well as the Uren Comanche turbo conversion on the Mk1 Capri 3.0
We are getting a bit of a way from "production" cars here though

Ah sorry it was the broadspeed capri not the tickford. The broadspeed car was a turbo essex with a carb, and had a switch so you could stop the turbo working for when the wife was driving.

The 3000M turbo made 230bhp so about 25 more than a tickford turbo.

Autobianchi/Lancia Y10 Turbo
1049cc, FWD, 85 bhp @ 5750 rpm
Same engine as used in the 1050 Fiat 127.
Used an IHI Turbo and a Weber carb.

Alfa 1.8 turbo - 75 IIRC - they have Dellortos too I think. Can be made to give out some serious power.........

Early Maserati Biturbos were carbed. They had a chuffing great twin-choke Weber as fitted to older Granadas. Pretty sure the Saab 99 Turbo was always injected though - I know every one I've seen has been.
