I need some inspiration to start re building. I think she's on her 2nd sorn. I'm thinking about restarting saturday. today it looked like it might rain. anyway; autopixx.de/bilder/autopixx-de-1138494767-74.jpg[/img] so I need to; 1) buy; a) U bolts for the axle b) rad fan kit c) brake hoses 2) weld in the battery tray and the c/l 3) filler/sanding 4) bar coat (is this suitable for flexable/plastic) stuff? 5) proper fuel pipes 6) fit axle 7) brake hoses 8) fit servo/mc and bleed (the car not me) 9) fit rad fan device/alarm/stereo/rev counter. 10) make sure the front wheels don't shread themselves on the arches. probabally buy roller bearings. 11) primer. 12) paint 13) hate the car and everything ive done to it. 14) fit nitrous 15) refit bumpers/trim/body trim/lights. 16) finely engineer/bodge an exhaust on. 17) have my welded prop looked at/sorted by an enginering company. 18) mate water/oil sensors to block. 19) sort speedo/rev counter. I think thats it. OTHER) get seat repaired. sort out punctured tyre. polish.

It's gotta be a Capri 280. I'd love one. Although i remember my science teacher having a mint 2.8i in blue, polished every weekend. Beautiful, and by that time already 10 years old so looked after well. Flicking through www.fordcapri.co.uk it's quite a nice history lesson - as 'late' as 1981 they were knocking out 1300cc 4-speed Capris!

That depends - if you're thinking of it as a 'Nu-Capri' (as per Bini & new Beetle) then building that is a missed opportunity as it could be far better.
However, if it's as a one-off custom version of a Capri Mk3, then it's very cool ;D but the lower part of the front bumper needs to be more interesting

I discovered tonight that my girlfriend likes Capris...especially this one... that is on ebay atm... but i'm thinking something like this will do her nicely, what are 1.6 Lasers [assuming they're the cheapest to get insurance on] like for new drivers?

norm - still very happy. Even with the puny powerplant. But drive it sensible and it should be a peach.
