Worthy of a sharp intake of breath.
That I would be happy to own and drive.
Amazing attention to detail there.
Absolutely LOVE THE WHEELS.

Absolutely LOVE THE WHEELS. I'd do real shady, greasy stuff for a set of them. But I think people have guessed that already. ;D

The paint on the roof looks a bit obvious, I like the rest though.

hell yes!! the "roof chop priper" effort is a little forced, but i can forgive that as the car as a whole is simply awesome! looks hard as nails, perfect amount ot rake and the louvred boot looks the biz

I really love the musical themed details, the pedal is inspired.

Oh yes! That's just perfect. On second thought, I'd have to change one thing, I'd channel it. I know hi boys are the fashion at tho mo, but I still prefer a channeled rod, especially a '32.

Yeah! Lots and lots of eye candy there. I too don't much care for the chop lines left or made to look bare as they take the eye away from other things which are far cooler. I like that the chassis is understated and painted black for instance. Wheels are oh so good. Taking a step back, if you just imagine it painted any which way it would be a great looking car 'cos the wheel/tyre combo, stance and engine are all just 'bitchin'' (steve3002, that's pretty much all the areas that need work when you chop one of these)

way too much of a mish-mash for me.
there some really nice touches (exhaust through rails, pedals, shifter, dash, early style curved louvers used), offset against some horrible bits- (street rod polished stainless brake lines, billet alternator painted to try to 'hide' it, brand new 4 barrel carbs, exposed modern billet ally calipers with stainless braided lines- at both ends). it just looks daft that they take a all-new shiny street rod and try to make it look 'authentic'.
the bit that made me laugh most though was the 'just done' bare metal on the roofchop, with the fully trimmed in patina-effect material headliner though!
and i must be the only one sat here thinking those wheels are truly bloody awful!

So nicely proportioned! I don't go much for the fake primer spots but I love the slightly dulled look of the paint - genuinely looks like it has been hibernating in a barn for 30 years (somewhere dry though, obviously)

I don't mind the brake lines, I think because they're done so well and neat but I'd use copper myself as it'd work well with the copper paint on the engine. Modern carbs don't really offend me but it would look better with a period injection setup minus the blower. And I didn't notice the alternator (but now it's almost poking me in the eye, thanks for pointing it out!) And yeah, I'm not sold on the wheels, they look like they should be on some 70's econoline with a porthole and a mural on the side. Plain steel wheels or artillery wheels. Love the transmission tunnel tho.

I think that's the whole point; the look of an old 60's/70's custom that was pulled out of a barn and given a few updates; if you start plonking steels, dynamos and injector stacks on it, you just end up with another identikit Kev-mobile. I'm glad that someone's strutting their own stuff.

Oh I agree, and I'd never chastise someone for building what they want. And there's a LOT to be said for modern brakes!
But that alternator does look guff! And I still don't like the wheels, but I didn't build it, and the guys who did obviously have a very good eye for detail.

Like it a lot!!! Love the interior details (pedal, instrument cluster...), not that keen on the primer spots. The bonnet and bootlid tho!!! WOW, are those alloy?

The inspiration for the wheels for those that missed it. Ah - very interesting! I must confess that my initial thoughts on the wheels was that they reminded me of this:
