Wow big job, but when do you ever see vans, like never, maybe you do but a tax free old van... get it sign written with 'OxO' or 'Slammed 66 stores' etc and and join the RR commercial massive. Did you say you could weld ok

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Get it T&T, slam on some black Revolution 5 spokes, with a little dish, don't weld the diff it'll just smash the axle to pieces I would have thought...
Lightly tune up the engine, big rampipes, twin carbs, electronic ignition, leccy fan, make sure it's all streetable and works a treat for daily use, fire away! ;D
Oh and some spotlights, and one on the back in a swivel mount for unloading ;D

Considering the work the roof gutter will need........ Roadster pick up? Mildly tuned daily hack definitely

Ooooh that looks like a fun project. A Metro turbo would be the obvious path, but I'd be tempted to do something with an 820 Turbo lump, just to be different!

Wow... Was my first thought when I saw the price. Then jeezuz, when I saw the gutter rot. That's a bastid to get rid of, I gave up on mine in the end and that was ten years ago. Best of luck with that, get it on the road and come on back for some more ideas... Would look sweet chopped though... Just a little.

Wow... Was my first thought when I saw the price Yeah i get the feeling that i may have paid over the odds for it but then again its exempt from road tax so will save me 100 a year that way. Cant roof chop it or turn it into a pick up as its to usefull to me as a van, i.e. matress on the floor = instant camper ;D Think its going to be twin carbed rather than turbod but its early days yet

Get the roof welded on properly Easier said than done - it's a female dog of a job, as there's about 3 or 4 panels meeting there & there's no access from inside due to an internal 'gutter' / frame..... IMHO that van body is scrap, unless you have the skill & patience to repair it correctly yourself. The base of the rear door pillars looks icky too, which doesn't bode well for the structural integrity of the van body. They're great though - I had one for my first car! If you want an interior door handle for the rear door, a normal Moggy interior door handle fits. It will also stops travellers getting into the back by just undoing the two screws on the rear door & pulling the handle out far enough to bypass the lock.... Here's a few pics of my old one:

The windows were fitted when it was a few years old (the handbook had all the dates & servicing written in the back!) but they were also available as a dealer-fit optional extra. I've seen a couple of others like this too, but only at the Moggy LCV (van / pickup) rally where I took these pics. I sold it in 2003 (wasn't using it any more as I had the Amazon) to a Moggy van restorer. According to the combined data from DVLA & RAC online number plate checks, he still owns it & it's still taxed - hopefully now restored as all it needed was some welding to the lower rear body (roof & gutters were perfect!!) & paint

Keep chickens in it.
And whenever someone says 'D'ya wanna sell that', say 'Yes, I'll take £5000 for it'.
Complete 'the look' by having your trousers held up be string and strange bits of unidentified 'stuff' in your hair.
