Quick wash (local £5 hand car wash) on the way to the swap meet on Sunday. Loved the pampas grass. Also bought this (the beacon), saw one in some crazy JDM car once, thought why not.

I'm working on a Sprinter at the moment, we've welded in a full 6" of new steel all round the bottom which is common on these.
It's getting a Raptor paint job and was thinking about finishing it off with some aftermarket bolt on plastic arches.
It seems the Sprinter arches are a bit out compared to the sizes available, I don't want to get into too much work making them fit.
How easy are they to work with and is it worth it???

First of all thanks for all the comments and advice, I really appreciate it.
Tuesday afternoon I called a specialist solicitor who was recommended to me by a customer who is also a solicitor.
Said solicitor wasn't available when I called but called me back on Wednesday.
From me speaking to his secretary to receiving the phone call I didn't stop shaking through nerves and worrying.
He reckons there could be a few outcomes.
Firstly I could get an awerness course for the speeding. Secondly they could over look the speeding and hit me with the no insurance as its more serious and more points. Thirdly the totting up takes place, we go to court and put in the Hardship plea.
It's just a case of waiting for the letter to produce proof of insurance now.
Massive fingers crossed.

On my usual (if not more anxious than usual 🙄) journey to work I spotted a car in traffic between the usual bland boxes. A car I've never seen before and guessing it's kit based. The middle was basically a Ford Capri shape, vinyl roof and typical Capri alloys. The bonnet looked odd as did the grill. The boot was like a saloon car, longer and flatter with different tail lights also?? Any ideas?

My work place (unit I rent) is a 40 mile round trip away with no public transport available as its rural. I should (fingers massively crossed be offered a speed awerness course) for the speeding offence??? If you haven't done a speed awareness course before (or in the last 3 years??) then that might be an option. Fingers crossed! It might not hurt to take a look at the link I posted and start thinking about a hardship plea though, just in case. I have done one before but can't remeber when, is there any way of finding out?

Do you have a trade policy for your work? No as I don't have to drive vehicles anywhere

Exactly what I did HoTWire! I wonder though if it might be worth the risk of going to court after all, Slacker? You can't argue that you're not guilty, but is there some argument you could make about not getting a ban? Perhaps not being able to work if you lost your license? A sick relative that you wouldn't be able to visit? Anything? My work place (unit I rent) is a 40 mile round trip away with no public transport available as its rural. I should (fingers massively crossed be offered a speed awerness course) for the speeding offence???

It's common practice now for insurers to surreptitiously remove the 3rd party clause from policies. Who's the letter from that your mate has received? From the police that's dealing with the points (South Yorkshire police)

First of all F**K!!
When the Rover Streetwise packed in at the end of June I borrowed my work mates Clio, whilst I had it I got a speeding ticket, curse word but fine my fault! Sent off details etc Now my mate receives a letter wanting to see his insurance to see if I'm covered. I assumed as I had fully Comprehensive cover that I was covered 3rd party on any vehicle. Just checked and I don't do now I'm absolutely bricking it.
I already have 3 point from 2 years a go in November.
It was a genuine mistake, I'm not one for flouting laws and would not have used the vehicle knowing I was uninsured.
Any thoughts???

Went to drop the coilovers on the front a bit. Did the drivers side first, no probs at all. Passenger side on the other hand has had a Cave man at them 🙄

I've gone to drop the front on my b5. 5 passat today and found the locking Collars are in a rite mess, previous owners must have used a chisel on them.
I have (somewhere) a set of lupo coilovers and wondered if I could use the collars from those?
