Been moving this last week. Not ideal at this time of year, not even got a tree up yet!! The mondeo has more than earned its keep though hauling household, garage and garden (council slabs, concrete Tiki statues and planters) plus a scrap run.

It's been earning it's keep this last few weeks moving house and lots of tip runs. Were downsizing from a 3 bed detached to a 2 bed bungalow. Boot space is cavernous!!

Cheers for replies so far. I'm currently running an all black Mk3 mondeo and think it will look spot on with Bandies, it WILL have bandies, just seems odd there's non about. Most "scene" style cars get the treatment but Mondeo seems to miss any sort of modding other than Maccy D car park style 🤔

As above, don't use oxide, even with rust converter it will come back through.
My method (Armour Rustproofing) ; Clean with wire wheel, needle gun and scrapers, Rust converter Built Hamber hydrate 80, Zinc primer, Dinnitrol wax over and injected in everything, Final Shutz coat.
Think if your painting, as said above epoxy primers over rust converter. Or Raptor type coating in what ever colour you like 👍

As above where and what coverage are you after? What are you covering and what longevity are you looking for? don’t want to hijack the thread but what do you think of bilt hamber products ? got a herald i want to carry out some rust proofing/curing/ prevention work on I highly recommend the hydrate 80 rust converter but cant comment on anything else. I use Dinitrol products for the rest

2 that I have. First is 'Mud Dog'from the Tonka Steel Monsters range. Found this range while researching Mad Max things. I've not looked for a while but prices can be crazy. Second is this beach buggy I found with full intention to sell on, oh well!!

Great cars these, had a few in my time. Zetec S bumpers and wheels transform the looks if you can find any. As for the speedo, do you have any ABS/traction control lights on? These have magnetic ABS rings in the wheel bearings and IIRC one of the fronts provides the signal for speedo. Yeah I've found that out from my mechanic this week, there is indeed an abs light on. It cleans up pretty well and drives very nice. Has the local car wash give it a once over.

I've always liked these, expecially the proper early ones. There were millions, there was a specific black cab graveyard in London I think, there have been a few customised / modified ones out there. There was a neat pro street one. They do appear to act as chassis donors (or at least ID Donors) for hot rods though... Cheers @akku thats my thoughts, hopefully someone has bought one, stripped it to rod it and maybe still have parts kicking about
