Hope there is someone to help me out with a few jobs left on my C10.
I'm needing a rewire which should remove many of the current issues and a few other jobs doing, I have a sensible budget to get the work done, it's more about finding the right person to take this to completion.
I've had failed, stopped half way through as bigger paying jobs have come in or half hearted promises from 4 people now over the last 18 months and i'm still no further forward.
I respect the whole 'built not bought' thing but I'm at the point where I really just want to enjoy my truck and let an expert take over and get her over the finish line.
(i've tried a few well known or recommended garages but they are either too busy with bigger jobs or can look in say 6-8 months time which is not ideal)
Anyone fancy a bit of work ? Timescale wise I'd really like it completed for late Summer to I can enjoy it a bit before Winter.
Please drop me a PM if so
Many Thanks
Glenn

I love cars, mostly American cars and trucks but RR flicks my switch with pretty much every car thread, I don't go to anywhere near enough car shows despite my love of them, mainly down to the fact I rarely hear about them until afterwards, mainly from the pics kind folk take and post on here......so is there a definitive list out there on the web where you can simply click a date and see what's on where? if not that'd be a great resource, I know there's plenty of lists showcasing particular makes ie VW on their respective sites but I'd love to know if such a site exists, thanks all

THanks for the suggestions - I’d much rather ‘sell’ it for free on here but the for sales only run to a Y refg don’t they? Although I’ll pop an ad on and see how it goes
I’ll try gumtree too
Thanks all

I have a 2003 Chrysler grand voyager diesel which I no longer need. They only fetch a few hundred pounds via online auction sites but as it does run and drive I’m reluctant to just scrap it as I thought someone could get use from it even just in parts?
The uk Chrysler forum is fairly inactive so pointless putting on there and I’m sure with Ebay you can’t give an item away can you?
Suggestions please

SS- Like the Legacy. The 3000 "looks" fast standing still to me (which is good)
The 400bhp Civic made me tingle, that's certainly up my alley as I love the old Hondas
Yep its bloody hard, i'm destined for a cheap rotter of an Evo or a nice Scooby here I'm sure

wow what a thread this has become !
see the GTR to me feels and looks like a sports car already before any tinkering, its "known" as a fast car rather than a big ole bimmer or soarer or a citroen with a fancy engine,
as for the Mondeo, nice curve ball there, but alas its a Mondeo and harks back to the Mondeo estate I owned and loved for almost 10yrs, it was a great car, cheap as chips and did literally every job I threw at it, sadly when the door seals failed and I came back to a car full of mould after a holiday enough was enough, I enjoyed watching a huge grapple hooked digger thing rip it apart at my local scrappies though !
where has surprisingskoda gone ?!?!
The 635 doesn't look scary imo, it just looks old, sorry Audi A6 is a frump machine, I already own a shiny new frump machine I'm trying to give to the wife so I can have "pants ripped off in driving nirvana"

lots of ace suggestions so a big thank you for those. To answer a few
Unlike Jezza I have no love for Alfas Big mercs/bimmers etc are a no no That chincy is an awesome machine but not my style Fiat Coupe is another no no
However the Audi S4, Starlet and the Caldina have grabbed my interest. I'm amazed how cheap the older S4's are!!
Fresh & Minty, yeah I need one car rather than a few cars that do different things, I have our new Family car and my Yank Truck, this idea was formed from trying for the last 2yrs to shed my wife of her terrible Chrysler GV, she has finally agreed if she gets the Merc, which leaves things wide open for my "daily". Our driveway won't handle another two cars.
MercDan, good advice. I'll hit the FB groups too. and glad to hear the return visit on the ex worked out

Surprisingskoda is RIGHT on my wavelength here. I don't want a big luxo merc/bmw etc with a huge engine, a mk2 golf with a mental swap is more my thing, or as SS said the go to cars of the Evo/Scooby
Not interested in anything American as I have my truck to hoon about in when it's done and I'm not an expert mechanic like many on here so I think that's why the Scooby/Evo's appeal as they are get in and go, or at least my old Scooby was.
Tbh I could just buy another one for cheap, there was a wagon on Ebay for £1600 !! ( I really don't like the wagon shape however) but it's like roggering an ex G/f never the same the 2nd time around hence not diving in with a Scooby for ease.
SS- I definitely want something a bit less school run haha

my wife has driven mine twice. After both times she looked utterly beaten!
That sums up EVERYTHING i'm trying to achieve haha
Geordie, I do hear ya, sadly it'd be like owning a Jaaag and buying......a Jaaag. My Merc does the job of mixing quick and comfortable.
I'm meaning more like something that looks mental too, looks fast parked up, not a sleeper as such, not a luxobarge that has a fast engine.
None of that makes sense I guess but you want what you want I guess!

Thanks chaps so far, I already have a fairly rapid Merc (the new car the wife will be driving) and I know I'll be stoned for saying it but I can't get past that E55 front end, I just don't like them (sorry)
I'll add after seeing the lovely Passat that I'm not looking for refined as such, we have a lovely new Merc that is both fast enough for family travels and is chocker full of toys, I want something that the wife DOESN'T want to drive as its too fast or too scary or both haha
apologies for not making this clear in my original post

Discussions went from getting a Passat estate diesel for the wife to me convincing myself she can have our new car to use for work if I can buy something that tears my face off fast.
I know the £6k budget i've set myself won't get me that but other than the typical answer of Impreza Turbo (which I've owned before and loved) what else can I get that fits the silly fast part of my needs.
I have had a quick look at Evo's (which I have always wanted to own) the ones for sale at the moment are rotters or engine swapped and anything over the 1,2,3,and crappy 4's then ramp up to £10k for a decent model, I don't want to spend that much on scratching that itch really.
I have kids so the 4 door 5 seat format of the Scooby/Evo fits well with everyday life if I'm being semi sensible about it.
I have no knowledge of mitsi 3000's, scooby Legacy, forester etc so unsure if these are better or worse than the Impreza/Evo.
I wish I'd bought an older Evo that was advertised on here ages ago but as usual funds at the time were shocking so I missed out.
I'm hoping someone will say "you've forgot this model XXXXX" or "don't dismiss a XXXXXX they're so much fun"
I'm open to any make/model as long as its quick/mental quick. I even considered one of these engine swap deals like you see in a mk1 Caddy or mk3 Golf but finding them on Ebay etc is hard as they don't fit a specific search (not that I've seen?)
I'd love to hear suggestions please
Cheers

Hi there! I helped build this when my brother in law owned it before the guy you bought it off, hope you throughly enjoy it mate 👌🏻 Does anyone know this chap ? I'm eager to get more details on the build and history but he's not replied to messages and although I've asked Hotwire a few times he's not replied either ? Not much else to report on the Truck, I've sourced a power steering setup, just awaiting collection, then a few more bits to purchase. I'll grab some more pics when there's visual stuff to show

Sorry for the impatience of my thread but the above member kindly added to me thread about the history of my truck, he's not a big poster so no idea how he came across my build thread !!
I'm pm'd him to ask for more details but he's not replied as yet and I'm gagging to find out more details.
If anyone has proper contact details mobile or email address so I can contact him directly I'd very much appreciate it, or a nod towards this desperation thread haha
cheers
