***** Ive suffered the fate of Ebay messers so a huge price drop as ive already put a deposit on another older truck - £2200 no offers *****
This is my Chevy C1500 Chevelle on a 92 K Reg
It has MOT until February 2015, tax can be arranged at buyers cost (within the new dvla guidelines)
The truck has had a repaint at some point and now looks very presentable, (still its original white) there is one bubble on the driver lower cab corner and a blemish on the bonnet (I tried to photo the bonnet blemish but it wouldn't show)
As expected sills and chassis are in good shape, to be honest this truck overall is in good if not great shape
It benefits from a Transit diesel engine and box swap, This was done prior to my ownership, it's not been a professional shop install but its all there and it all works, the previous seller informed me it was massively low on power, and the drive home I can confirm this was the case. It felt like I was in Duel with the lorries screaming by me!!!
I'm glad to report an hour with my master mechanic saw a wrongly plumbed fuel line and now the truck is back upto full power, yes its Transit power !!! but I can say with honesty that it keeps up with modern traffic and easily reaches all 5 gears (it struggled to achieve upto 3rd gear when I bought it)
The extremely notchy gear selection again was a fiddle and tweak job and the gear change is now silky smooth
There has been a few other jobs and a thorough and much needed cleaning of the whole truck.
Also included is an awesome three piece hard plastic truck bed cover, these slot into each other and then click into place with rods into the bed sides. each piece has a lock but sadly the keys supplied to me do not fit
It has a sticker on the rear showing "aerocover"
things that need attention:
engine install could be tidied up if new owner wanted, its not a necessity but something to look at long term
missing an internal heater vent on the dash and the rear plastic handle casing from the tailgate (these are £1.23 from Rock Auto)
no radio as I always use a suitcase stereo
bonnet release and handbrake release are on a pull cord rather than the "factory" handles
so there you have it, nothing listed in the attention bit is urgent or affects the truck being driven daily, more cosmetic issues.
I keep mentioning Daily use truck, and this really is a daily use truck, not forgetting if anything does go bang a trip to the Ford Stealers or a local scrapyard should have you up and running again without too much hassle or haemorrhaging of the wallet, its a Banana engine and box so there are literally thousands of spares out there for them
The truck was owned by a Race engineering company who I have been in contact with as I like to know vehicle history if I can, they confirmed it was a solid truck and owned for some time by them. out of respect I wont print their details on the ad but I'm happy to show/confirm to the winner the emails from them confirming their ownership etc
This is a private sale but can accommodate viewings to suit, I will just need a days notice
This is a cash sale only, collection only and no paypal whatsoever, this is a used vehicle and therefore no warranty or guarantee is implied or given. It is Sold as seen and a receipt will be issued to the winner
This is only for sale due to finding something older and tax exempt, still a Yank though
pics when pbucket is not being lazy !!
