Sometimes the engine size isnt the issue, it's number of claims for the age group of drivers. I posted loads of examples in this thread lol forum.retro-rides.org/thread/211871/unusual-reliable-first-car-daughterYears ago (when I was 24ish), I got insurance quotes on a E39 M5 & E46 M3, the M5 was way cheaper dispite being bigger, faster & heavier. Just a shame I couldnt afford the car lol I'm (and other younger owners) paying less to insure my Mustang than a lot of the older owners, assuming it's because most owners arent under 40.

Has he been a named driver for a year whilst learning? Some companies will take that also

Have you tried the usual compare the market sites? Both my cars are with Brentacre, it's the first insruance company in 21 years of having car insurance that are actually pleasent to deal with. Worth giving them a try, they beat everyone else by quite a lot as well

If it's rust free & cheap, throw cash at them and drive off happy. It should start to appreciate in value

So it looks like my time with the Mustang is coming to an end, have been offered a lot more than I paid for it by a local dealer. It will be temporarily being replaced with a 2010 LCI Mini Cooper S which a friend is sellin cheap. Why temporary? Because all being well I will be ordering my first ever brand new car (excluding 1 lease car), It's Japanese, it's 4wd, it's 3dr, and has a waiting list until May 22 I havent forgot about the mk2, I am still waiting on it going into my mates garage to be finished & put on the road - it's insured & waiting lol. Although, it wouldnt start last week as it would appear to have run out out of fuel at long last

That looks outstanding, not even upset it's EV That said a TTRS five pot would be better (albeit it probably slower)

I know BMW V8's suffer with reliability issues, love a E39 though. A 530i would probably be a better purchase but it doesnt meet the V8 requirement.

I already have a D1 naked chassis with a particularly long and horrible story attached. I hope it's not one that was burnt out near dronfield/totley about 10-12 years ago, we saw that - luckily we didnt see what was inside it

Given that this is 40mins from me and I didn’t know it was on, it doesn’t seem they’ve advertised it much. Same and I'm only about 30 mins away lol

Unusual, being a manual version, though 'Additional Info' mentions it being "Contaminated"... Probably all the mould, its either a damp barn find or its been in a flood

Defo used the 205 Dimma kit for inspiration then The dimma kit is just a rip off of the t16 🤷🏾♀️ The golf is great, I love that it exists. I want to see it being driven hard, I've only seen it being loaded and unloaded from trailers so far. Yes it is, and the Golf is more T16 really as it doesnt have the fins on the 3/4's

This. Values are increasing steadily for most cars, until recently my mum had a ‘65. ‘Woody’ Mini Countryman. It was last insured for £15k, although she sold it for a bit less. Indeed they are, possibly selling my modern Mustang this month, to Ford, for £3k more than I paid 16 months ago!

I've seen images of the Golf before - thought it was a photoshop! Never seen a VW with a 205 Dimma kit before! Any more pictures or info? Can only find the renders

£10,500 for the top spec one & Ulez Euro6 is that direct from Russia the belgium guy doubles the price I think so, it was the list price I found on the internets - expect it to be at least £15k by the time shipping & tax/vat is added though
