I enjoy his videos, but sometimes watching him doing the repairs on his fleet feels like 2 steps forward and 3 steps back, if that makes sense Quite agree, for every job there's a right way, a wrong way and the hubnut way still enjoyable viewing though Ttfn Glenn

How about looking at this from another perspective? You were relaxing, carrying out some diy in your garden when you found yourself being confronted by a aggressive person who proceeded to threaten you, leaving you feeling traumatized, suffering stress from a fear that anything you do or don't do could provoke another assault Ttfn Glenn

How about strapping the plank into the side of a bycycle? Large diameter wheels to get over the rough bits, then hop on and start peddling over the easy bits Ttfn Glenn

It was a large pile of bits when I got it, gradually piecing it back together, handy having it on the drive, as step out the door and start working, downside is, if it's raining or windy, Also not having the majority of power tools here, hence the roller paint job Ttfn Glenn

Prior to all the mayhem, a chance Facebook thread led me to a dismantled Manta ray buggy, Had always fancied a manta, and this one pops up about 10 miles away Still working at the moment so time is slightly limited.progress so far, engine now running, gearchange working, tinware fitted, pedals assembled and fitted, some fibreglass repairs ongoing. Today's task was a social distancing paint job, looks ok from 6feet Ttfn Glenn

Went into my local and one bloke had 6, mentioned this to the store manager and he was not interested. Surprise Surprise BANG on eBay near my location. Listing shows it having 3 years warranty, when I got mine i was told in no uncertain terms, no receipt, no warranty, so how is the seller going to cover the warranty? Ttfn Glenn

May have been urban myth, but years ago I was told of some flats powered by a Renault engine, running on gas, driving a generator for electricity and the cooling water and exhaust running through heat exchangers to warm the building. it was not enough power at maximum demand so would draw from the grid and put back any surplus at times of low demand. Tried it out this morning, sliced through 1.5 and 3mmm steel with no trouble, not able to try on anything thicker as I didn't have any. The only slight problem was the airline connector was a bit of an odd size and tried to unplug itself. Would have no hesitation in recommending it Ttfn Glenn

Might be an idea to contact rocketeer as they make kits to fit aj30 into an mx5, so could be a source of parts and info rocketeerinfo.wordpress.comTtfn Glenn

You can get your revcounter recalibrated to suit whatever ratio you end up with, I think speedy cables provide the service Ttfn Glenn

Should circumstance ever leave me single, free of responsibility and still in good health, then I will live in a caravan parked in the corner of a unit. Even if it means maintaining a studio flat as an official residence to keep things legal. Snap! 😂😬 Do we have some sort of psychic connection? This is a regularly reoccurring thought of mine, even down to the caravan, Ttfn Glenn

I may be missing something, but why not make the necessary repair sections? 150 quid stays in the kitty, and gain the knowledge to tackle more complex repairs Ttfn Glenn

Interesting to see the way they converted the Ford beam to independent and wonder where the rack and pinion was sourced from Ttfn Glenn
