Sold (very cheaply) to pay for a flat. Sorry.
It was fun but who on earth wants a reliable, comfortable car.

Yes I have used a Snap On one with a built in screen for looking for bits of something in an engine.
I believe some cheap ones come up on offer in Lidl every now and then for under £100.
I would say a handy thing to have rather than essential kit.
Oh. We refer to them as bumscopes and no longer borrow the one we previously did as we now know where it's been.

Thanks but I prefer a mild system on an auto, I find the stainless a bit raspy. Might just be me but I have a Monza with a stainless system and I don't like the noise compared to the one with a mild system. At some stage I will attempt a video test of the two.
Thanks anyway though.

Looking forward to getting some time on the ramp soon. Blowing exhaust to deal with, drivers windows doesn't do stuff and the digital dash needs a prod.
It has some not so great repairs that need looking at and stuff and things.
Sensible family car innit.

Gah... here we are. clickypastycopyimgaaaarrrgh It has the standard fit but totally daft 14 inch wheels... but I have a few GSE rims about that are 15 inch so it will look more like this : A set of GSE side skirts will probably hide this nonsense: Out in the wild: and home... A thoroughly uneventful trip sat at a constant speed without bother (must remember it doesn't corner like the Monzas despite looking the same from inside), traffic was fine, A34 was dull, no radio so I hummed nice tunes to myself and enjoyed 28 mpg in my luxury velour chair. Now what.

Right.
This is a tough one for me as I have a new phone and like the old one, I can't start new threads. What I now have to do is borrow MonzaNikkis Windows 8 infested taplop and struggle through its stupid functions to provide you lot with information you don't want and entertainment you probably don't need.
Anyhoo.
Last year I in no way was forced by person or persons unnamed to buy a car I hadn't seen and didn't want that was nowhere near to where I live.
I have to stress now that I haven't bought another car......
(I have)
It is a tradition now for me to buy something shiny around my birthdaytime in order to improve my otherwise humdrum existence. Normally Opel shaped or GM connected or just shiny, but not expensive, no, never. Last year I was not really contemplating doing so due to impending marriage things and all that guff.
What I wanted was a white Opel Senator CD so it followed that I should get a grey Vauxhall one. It's obvious really. For those who don't know, the Senator was sold through UK GM dealers as an Opel prior to the re-brand in 1985 which left just the Manta and Monza lingering with a blitz badge. Vauxhall Senators, along with all the posh Vauxhalls, were still built in Germany at the Opel plant.
This one is a 3.0 (they did a 2.5 for why) and has the 4 speed auto, some air conditioning and a sunroof, central locking, electric boot release, digital dash (some of which still works) and fancy wooden door cappings. It has the long range spotlamps and plenty of shiny exterior trimmage.
It has had a lot of work in the past (the history is an eye opener!) and also is a cat C write off for rear damage but not fussed about that, just like our Discovery, one up the bum, no harm done.
Last weekend, I was chauffeured up to my mates place in MK to rescue it. Bear in mind this was an unseen purchase that had been lingering in the frozen north for several weeks....... and you know what my road trips are like.

Don't fill the letter with any unnecessary guff , just the important details, but when you deal with the DVLA, find out who is working in your case and try to only deal with them. It gives great continuity to any communication if it's going to drag on.
Good luck.
