are you limited to list B or whatever it is these days? I know that the Satchell guys use Avons to good effect. Yeah I’m looking at 1Bs for road going production class. The Exreme’s are really good, not great on the wallet though 😆 To be fair, there isn’t really a wallet-friendly 1B tyre..although some give it a bigger pasting than others! That’s why I’m still on 1A’s 😂 I just got curse word off with buying 1A tyres only to find they were worse than my normal road tyres when given a bit of stick! Worst one was a set of Proxes which I sold after a few months. 1B is a bigger risk financially but seems to be safer lol. You should try the Interstate’s if they’re in your size. They’re mega cheap and we were out performing similar spec’d cars.

I've been informed that the R888Rs aren't quite as good as the predecessors so it may be worth trying an alternative if you can . My 205 was OK on the GGs in a 14" wheel . That’s annoying, I was running interstate DNRTs previously but I’ve gone down a wheel size now and they aren’t available. If anything they were better than the 888s!

All the more reason to own a retro, no cat required According to this site, there’s 8 years worth (approx) of retro cars that need a cat.

Probably easier to get any old wheels and weld some tabs on to accept the caps?

I’m after some Toyo R888Rs for my 205 Hillclimb car, specifically the SG compound. Every place I’ve looked only seems to sell the GG which is a harder compound.
Has anyone got any contacts who may be able to get hold of the SGs? Tyre size is 185/60 R14
Cheers!

Usual argument, LHD is more countries, RHD more people, because it includes countries like China What’s the betting Vauxhall’s next? They already sold Vauxhall or would have suffered a similar fate.

The same Interior boot lamp was used on most Austin Rovers right up until the end in 2005. It still had the Austin emblem moulded into it on my 2005 ZR. It’s used in the MG6 aswell!

If you buy a set from halfords when it’s on offer, the trade card doesn’t make it any cheaper anyway.

I just wish they wouldn’t smash everything up every week. Makes it painful to watch.

It’s funny how people complain that it’s still “forced” but what was so funny about a guy constantly putting a 190E into reverse “by accident” and smashing the car behind?
It’s great at the moment, I didn’t mind MLB either.

Mine only does 50 miles to £20... so whatever that works out to. I do live in hilly Yorkshire though!

It’s full time 4wd high and then selectable low box. The earlier ones have the part time option like an XJ. There’s use of LSDs in the rear and centre diffs to make it pretty much unstoppable.
I wasn’t too confident in it at first as my Pajero was something else off road and I was weary of not being able to manually lock the diffs, but I’ve just put a new set of tyres on it and the difference is really noticeable!

The suspension set up is less agricultural than the XJ Cherokee and more like the Pajero. Front is by and large the same. It's the rear that probably makes all the difference here where the ZJ uses the Quadralink at both ends rather than the leaf springs of the XJ. Good trucks to be fair, and also getting rarer too sadly! Do you have Command-Trac or Selec-Trac transfer case in yours? I’ve got the one which is permanent 4wd, I think that’s Selec-Trac? I haven’t got my head round them all yet but I wish I’d got a 2wd one tbh. It’s the only thing I miss from my Pajero. EDIT: scratch that, it’s Quadra-Trac

I recently sold my Pajero because I couldn’t face putting new sills on it for MOT. I’ve replaced it with a Grand Cherokee which blows the Pajero out of the water for comfort! Still working out how to use the 4x4 to its best but it’s great to drive. The interior is like a Jag XJ... it’s sort of like a 90s F Pace 😆😆 The suspension set up is less agricultural than the XJ Cherokee and more like the Pajero.

It’s custom made rear glass. The owner answered some questions on FB. Now I see this...... Dare say it cost him dear - but well worth it! N £1K a piece apparently

Pretty sure I saw a thread about it on here once. It’s a Jetta with a Golf hatch on.
