Set of four 1990s Mitsubishi Shogun/Pajero/L200 standard alloys with tyres.
7x15 inch, 6-spoke, 6-stud.
Used condition, ideally needing refurb. Two sprayed in black (look okay) and two in standard silver.
Complete with tyres. I think two are okay and two need replacing. Need pumping up as been in storage, so will need to check they hold air etc.
Collection from GL4 4RN (Gloucester) or might be able to help with delivery between there and Bidford-on-Avon eg Ashchurch, Evesham etc.
Pics to follow.
Probably the cheapest around. Judging by ebay anyway!

Nope, you did everything you could apart from giving it away.
Glad you got a sale in the end. Banger racers get a lot of bad press but when it comes to selling cheap cars they're the buyers that you can rely on.

Probably best to get another the same spec for maybe a bit less than the cost of repairs? I think they break alright don't they? I seem to remember the lights being quite sought after if in good condition.

Hi Steve,
Cheers for the interest.
To be honest, I can't imagine I'm doing it right and am confident that it'll be fine for sound. I powered it up again tonight and it was reluctant to take a disc though, whereas the other night it was fine. Think it needs a little coaxing after so long inactive. I got it in a job lot of ICE that the original owner had in his Manta back in the day. All that sold as untested - some on here - and it all worked peachy.
At the moment, I'm in two minds whether to let it go as the chances I think of getting another are slim, so I'd need a strong offer to twist my arm.

You pays your money and takes a chance etc.
I went and looked at an MG Metro Turbo 10 years ago described as "excellent and original". It wasn't. Original maybe, but putting your fingers through steel and air where steel should be isn't excellent. So I was polite and walked away.
Then I went back and bought it the next day.
On the flip side, my brother bought a smokey old Vectra diesel as a stop gap from a trader for a few hundred quid (you can imagine how much it owed the trader). Three years on, having just turned 210,000 miles it refuses to die. Each year he says he'll get shot at the MoT. It went through this year's with a bulb.
Not that any of this helps the OP, really. Best advice is to just get it fixed and forget about it. Hassling the seller is just pointless.

Afternoon all, You can read about this here: retrorides.proboards.com/thread/158393/alpine-7903m-school-retro-playerI've decided I'm probably never going to use this and it's a shame to have it just sat there. As you'll read, I've powered this up abd got it to accept and play a disc. I did try wiring an amp up to no avail, although I'm pretty certain I've done something wrong as nothing seemed to be making a connection to the 12v Scalextric transformer. Condition wise, it looks pretty good aside from there's wear to one of the buttons on the front where the plastic has gone white. It's also very tight in its cage but I guess that can be sorted easily enough. Judging from the repsonse on the what's it worth thread, I'm looking for £100 for it, which I think is fair. It's probably going to go best on ebay as I haven't seen one on there for an absolute age, but thought I'd see if there's any interest here. No silly offers please (I like it too much to let it go for nothing) but I'm happy to answer any questions the best I can. Also comes with the original handbook. Collection from Gloucester or happy to post UK only at buyer's expense of a recorded service.

Okay, a bit of an update. That reality check has hit and I've decided to move this on if the price is right. I've got it to power up and accept a disc/start playing it (without sound obviously as nothing else was hooked up to it. See the pic, if I've managed to upload it right. I did try to wire an amp up to it (my first ever attempt so I might have got it wrong...) using a Scalextric 12v transformer. On its own it powered up as in the pic, when I tried to add the leads from the amp to the transformer, absolutely nothing. Take off the amp wires and the CD player lights up again. So I've got to be doing something wrong, right? Fair play, with all the lights off in the kitchen, seeing those six green buttons doing their thing was pretty cool and took me right back to the early '90s.

Sorry, that should be a good 205/50/16 tyre.
Fits MG ZR, ZS, Rover 25 & 45.

Two 16" MG/Rover 'Hairpin' alloys (these particular ones are badged as Rover).
One wheel is what I consider to be in very good condition, the other has a fair bit more kerb damaged but still looks presentable. The better wheel has a good 205/50/15 'Event' tyre with mucho tread, while the other has a tyre that is absolutely borked - I actually managed to cut my hand on it it's got that much wire coming through!
So, £15 to anyone who wants them. Scrap money as I want them gone. Collection from Gloucester GL4 or I might be able to help with delivery between there and Bidford-on-Avon, near Stratford, eg Ashchurch, Evesham etc.
Anyone?

If it's dirt cheap and kosher, why not.
Got a brand new Haynes in cellophane for one of these for when you fix that fuel pump. Yours for nowt if you get the car.

Okay, so who watched it then?
I did and I enjoyed it. Took me right back to being a kid and going to Bovingdon raceway with friends and family. Great times.
I think that’s the thing, yeah it’s a shame seeing some of the cars destroyed but come on, admit it, it is entertaining to watch and did you see the state of what they were starting with? The unlimited bangers were realistically only worth fragging anyway unless you wanted to pump five figures into them.
Thing that I was reminded of was the enthusiasm by everyone involved and passionate about doing their hobby and putting on a show, something I’d kind of forgotten amongst the negativity that surrounds the sport.
A good bit of TV I thought and well produced. Will definitely be tuning in next week.

As above I suppose and I guess that mobile number could be rigged up as a premium number? Or it's just somebody messing around for the hell of it.

Thanks marinanut. I'll give that a go. Got to be worth a try before thinking about replacing a displacer.

After six or so years off the road, my 1986 Metro Turbo is back on the road. Sort of.
It runs, starts and stops, but is pretty reluctant to come on boost. That said, it can be driven okay – I even went to Tesco in it yesterday – but a big problem is the rear suspension. It’s utterly atrocious with no damping whatsoever. It’s to the point where a speed bump can have you out of your seat and you're thrown everywhere even on a slightly uneven surface.
When it was mucho welded a long time ago the garage had it all apart with the rear subframe out etc. Since it came back the back hasn’t been so happy to stay up and the Hyrdagas tending to go flat over time. I’ve pumped it up a bit myself with one of the hand pumps you can get off ebay to a respectable height, but there is a definite slant on the back with the driver’s side sitting lower than the passenger side.
Any ideas what’s causing it? I’m thinking one of the displacers might be shot but not certain - is it hard to physically replace one of these? By rights it should ride quite well with the Hydragas.
