I gues thats the way you see it, I see that the prices of cars has come down and down over the years, older ones last longer and will do more miles before wearing out, [glow=red,2,300]the cost of parts has come down with the advent of the internet let alone finding them in the first place.[/glow] Not the case with Oldskool Fords! Anything older than 1985 seems to attract an extra 0 in the price these days!

maybe, but its in durham are you sure you want to collect, before I ask the price? Oh curse word, just noticed where it is.... Shame really, MK2 Cavs are my thing and would have loved bringing that back to life... Despite it being a Vauxhall, it needs rescueing! It looks seriously tidy & it's uber rare!! Go rescue it, where are you going to find another Cavy convert?

I still watch it but It's a case of seen it all before really.... Is getting all a bit "samey" now! Fast supercars the majority of people will never get to see let alone own! Clarkson & Hammond having mock battles like they did on the ice! Captain Slow is winning every challenge now (even if by default!) They need to replan it somewhat, a bit more the current format mixed with what it used to be when Tony Mason, Steve Perry, Quentin Wilson & VBH were on it, a variety of motoring features that appeal to all levels of petrolhead/car enthusiast. They could have some cool features like oldskool vs nu skool, a seriously modified old car vs something like a Porsche on a track or drag strip! Certainly a fair few Oldskool Fords out there that could smoke a number of so called supercars! Getting a bit bored of the current format as it is!

Last nights Top Gear wasn't the greatest TBH!
Knew as soon as they finished the ice race & they parked up near the bridge that the Marina would end up stopping a falling piano!
Shame the Capper didn't make it though

It shouldn't affect most of the "wheels and slam" brigade as you don't have to re-register the car with those mods. However once you start chopping into the monocoque/chassis you're in IVA territory. Matt This is slightly confusing. Say you built 2 mk1 Escorts, one lowered with a set of alloys under standard or Mexico arches & another which you've fitted with bubble arches (including cutting out the rear tubs), lowered & a set of alloys. Will this mean the standard arched car will be exempt from the test but the bubble arched one will need the tst?

its been going on for years in the trade, called prospecting and it does work ! Yeah, but you could tell that this was purely due to the scrappage scheme, as the guy said there used to be around 40 cars per auction which were part ex's, but this number is now down to single figures Wonder if it's affecting the likes of Arnold Clark? They used to send all of their PXs to auction. The scrapage scheme is all very well & good for getting the motor industry up & running plus authorised scrap yards but it appears it could be at the expense of the back street garage mechanic, small independant scrappies & car auctions.
