Now that dad's Model A has come back from its intensive restoration it is ready to be insured and driven. I want to take my boys, 2 1/2 year old twins and my daughter, 5 months, out in it.
Being a wooden framed car produced without seatbelts what are the legal requirements? I know there are companies that can retrofit belts but as it's only going into a 1"x 2" piece of wood I wonder how effective it actually is.
I have already accepted the fact that a baby seat isn't going to fit safely so my daughter will have to wait. I am also prepared to let my boys run without seatbelts on the local run, supervised by police on closed roads. Is there any hope of legally being able to go on road trips with the boys safely?
Dad is currently lining up his next car. A 1933 ford speedstar with bench seat and no belts. I'm guessing it's going to take a miracle to get the kids in that on tho
