This is from a couple years ago just a bit of madness that took over the shed for a while I got my hands on these this week for restoration they were mucked about with and repainted about 10 years ago all four were built in Ireland in the 50's/60's I know they are not real ones is anyone interested in seeing the work?

It won't get done in a day 3 or 4 days maybe
It just sounds like a nightmare laying up fibreglass on your balcony I recon if you did it in your parking garage you'd be evicted it's stinky and dusty and itchy just nasty
It is a good fun thing to play with tho very blue peter

What I'm thinking is surely there are body shops there that will sort this for you for very little money it's like a 5 hour job to someone who knows what there doing it can be repaired permenently

Mark The guy I use up here fitted glass in to my dad's model a surround for me it was cut from a wagon screen he got the mark in the corner and all that good stuff it was £140 fitted I would think that would be a bit hard to swallow if you need 6 for the pop You could get a few out of one wagon screen but them fekin marks there's only one one each screen It's a stupid rule
Can I ask why do you need a biva test you were on the road what happened?

The vickers is heavy I don't know exactly I would guess at 5 or 7 tonnes I know I can push a 1500kg caravan around my concrete floored workshop on my own fairly easily that took 4 big strong lads who were all near shitting themselves with strain to push it to the back
They went out of favour with travellers because of the weight limits placed on vehicles towing trailers in the late 70's early 80's they could only be towed by 7.5 tonners Hence why they are now known as showmans caravans because only showmen could tow em

I tried living in an old static caravan a few years ago It didn't last it was fekin awfull to be honest in summer it was unbearably hot I had candles in the front that actually melted one day then come September is was Baltic it got really really cold all the time it was misarable I was sat on the edge of bed one morning putting my socks on a little bird flew out from between my legs and I have ornaphobia (fear of birds in confined spaces ) I made it until 20th of December when the pipes froze as well as my tea and I bailed out and rented bricks and mortar
The rats and mice and little insects sharing it with me doddnt help either

There's no fundamental reason why fibreglass won't stick to plastic it won't stick to any smooth surface it needs a good key with rough sandpaper and it will stick fine

You don't need aluminium of mesh plain old matting will do the job Use 3 or 4 layers of mat where the hole is 1 or 2 everywhere else

Your about right George Just a few points as it's so out ouf shape screw through the top and put a bit of wood from the corner to the middle basically it needs keeping in shape while the resin goes off Don't put tape on the inside of the bumper it will stop the glass sticking Use masking tape don't use parcel tape and duct tape tends to melt well the adhesive in tape will and leave a mess that is awfull to clean You need to give the inside a good key with rough sandpaper for the glass to bond to I would glass the whole inside of the bumper tape up all holes You will get drips but they just sand off when done
Filler you will proby need a good dollop on that so for the bulk of it use fibre fill it moves with the plastic that much standard filler will crack you then get this in to rough shape it's rough stuff and give a skim of standard filler
