paul99 I used Tcut and then applied a wax but I'd imagine it's only temporary - we'll see! My mate used wet and dry sandpaper on his 'With the lenses I’ve always done 800 grit wet & dry followed by 1200 followed by 2000 (all wet) and then t cut to shine it up. If you spend 10-15 minutes per stage per lens it’s a nice outcome.' Ta, yes tried that and you're right, it doesn't last....

There was a rotten one in the 'abandoned' thread a few days back..... How far gone are you looking for?

Judging by the stories I'm hearing from customers it's a buyers market - helping people struggling for cash/fleecing desperate people struggling for cash depending on your viewpoint. I think this whole credit charade is gonna come tumbling down once the furlough/payment holidays are gone. There are far too many people who don't actually own anything even though they've got everything who are losing/about to lose their income. Father in law is a retired car dealer, and would second this. Certainly the market for modern stuff is going to be flooded, with the resultant effect on prices.

Won a newspaper competition a few years back, a driving day with Audi. Was pushing the quattro system and perfornace/handling it gave you, so a day driving round the Silverstone infield in TT VR6s, R4's and RS6s. The emphasis was on controlling in extreme conditions/circumstances, and to do that you had to make the car misbehave..... We were paired up with another guest, and the format was the instructor would talk and demo, and then you would have a go. My co driver cocked one manoeuvre up badly he spun the car 180 and we were doing about 50mph backwards at one point..... At the end of the afternoon the instructors (all Swedish ex rally drivers) took us out on the main track for a demo lap. One lass was almost sick as she got out....

Hoping to fish the pool of better knowledge here, but digging out an old Radio Shack buggy in a clearout, and hoping for some entertainment for a while, but the tyres are shot and will need replacing, hoping for a cheap ebay job but finding a bewildering array of sizes (and prices...) so what dimensions would help? google pic but one similar to this:

Did see an early (Y plate iirc) pale blue Mk3 Escort in Maidenhead a while back, and wondering if the elderly old dear driving it was the first owner. Also see a Mk2 Golf near me which looks to be tidy but unrestored, just a car to some.

Contact any local suppliers that do sheds/garages of a similar size to what you have in mind? When my dad did it (albeit 15 years ago and a different authority) A wooden shed - even his 18'x36' - was classed as temporary so no pp needed.

College mate in the late 80's had a spitfire, the inevitable rolling restoration job, which in fairness was progressing slowly. The ignition barrel seized, and the bodge 'repair' was a screwdriver in the lock, and a 6" nail to hold the steering lock off. 'Shout if the nail drops out' was the warning to any passenger.......

Common factor would be the regulated voltage feed to both. Is the regulator on the dash panel?

Couldn't think of the name at first, but anyone remember the Asquith Transit? Shocked to find it was mid 80's though

Curious about the headlights, just grubby in the first pic, or have they been polished/cut back?

Sorry to hear about your friend. Seems unclear from your original post, but if there isn't a will in place, however horrible it will feel to raise the subject, get one done. It will save a lot of hassle when the time comes.

spider sense is tingling, is it single point injection 8 valve, aswell as being an auto? can you handle the TORRRQQQUES Should be powerful enough for George for his work commute 17th birthday is looming now Mine (manual, same year) was 8v with multi point, later 1.6s went to 16v and single point, far more common and made getting engine parts a pita as every parts vendor assumed it was a later one...... Ran fine for several years until a Slovakian lorry driver didn't see it one night
