Ha - I have two E30's, a 318 is, (it's on here - somewhere) also a 316i (for sale - on here) I also have an XJS, and last Saturday, I went and bought a really nice Cavalier, now, my wife hates the BMW's, as does my daughter, she says, dad, they're older than me ! - the E30's are both 25 y/o, she is 23, and neither of them are too keen on the Jag, especially my daughter ! When my wife seen the Cavalier on Saturday, all she said is, mmm, its not as old as I thought it was gona be, in fact she/we used to have a mk 3 Cav years ago, and she really liked it ! Said to my daughter, "did you see I got another car" all she said was - yes - ? one word, that was it, not even, oh its nice, or anything !! Now that's what I call Zero, well actually, Sub Zero interest !!

I'm on Ebay every day, even at work ! not with beer I hasten to add , I go on all the car sites, mainly older / classic sites, in fact only last Saturday I bought a very nice Cavalier 2.0 GLS, from a guy in Sunderland, its totally immaculate, only 3 owners, total and extensive history, the chap had had it for just over 3 years, he bought it from its 2nd owner who'd had it for 17 years, and the 1st owner was actually the dealership !! The chap I bought it from, had only ever worked for Vauxhall (now retired) his parents used to have a dealership, then he set up on his own, then his last few years were with Bristol Street, where this car was initially sold, Only thing is, this has brought my "fleet" to 4 !! and my mrs wasn't / still isn't too chuffed

Hey, I think its very cool and very "retro" after all, isn't that what this site is about ! ? On another note, my dad had one of them way back in the early sixties, (yes I am that old, b: 1960 ) I cant actually remember - except from some cini film my dad has ! Old vans are cool I might get me some of that !!

When do the next lot of tickets go on sale ? and if I wanted to show my E30 or even my XJS do I have to go through the appropriate club, ie, BMW Car Club, and JEC or Jaguar Drivers Club ? If so, are there anyone from said clubs attending ? also how much will the next lot of tickets be ?

I like the two tone effect, I just had mine in original silver, I took them all off a couple of weeks ago and cleaned and waxed them, inside and out, been meaning to do it since the refurb, here they are;
Before,
During;
Afters;
And, all together;
My reward -
As you can see, they wer'nt bad, due to refurb, (obv) buit I just wanted them waxed, took me about 2 hours, waxing these BBS's is a bit of a job, but, I'm happy as Larry

I recently got me an E30 2 door. (another 1 - I should say ) I bought this one just over a month ago, it had been sorned for two years, for no particular reason - the last owner had sorned it for the winter, and just never got round to putting it back on the road. I went to see it, noticed what fantastic condition its in, and rust free ! I have another E30 - which as it happened, was NOT so rust free ! so I knew exactly where to look - I have to say tho, my other one is a 318is, and I bought it with blinkers on as I had always wanted one and I only really gave it a quick glance !! (The first and ONLY time I have ever done that ! ) and I have had to have quite a bit of work done.
Anyway, I digress, it's just a 316i auto, 104k,m with only partial history, came with a new MOT with NO advisories, here it is when I bought it, it had lain in the garage behind it sorned - but started regularly for just over 2 years.
and when I got it home,
and here it is after my little spruce - up and a couple of changes to the appearance, - spot the difference ?
And that's it folks.

I'm getting the timing belt & water pump changed + ATF, 've bought a lip spoiler which I'll have colour coded and fitted, I've also got some bottle tops, and front fogs, all of which I have - fogs arrived today, then a serious ( 30 - 40 hour) detail, and that'll be my autumn / winter project No plans other than that.

Just got me another one of these little beauty's, its just a 316i, it has 320 SE interior, which the previous owner put in due to the original drivers seat having a tear, and he couldn't find a matching one, so bought a full SE interior including door cards etc It was such a bargain - I found it on Shpock, its a 91 H reg, and is immaculate no rust - (as I now know exactly where to look with my previous experience

The show doesn't include labour costs because it is meant to be showing us, the viewers how to diy ! same goes for the detailing, your meant to do it yourself. Although this latest serious they're doing more and more that is not really possible for the diy/ home mechanic ! But originally they'd get cars for about a grand and Ed would basically tart it up, but the programme has moved onwards and upwards - but he does often say, if you were to get a garage to do this it would cost ex £'s.
I'm sure he must research cars, because there is just so many different makes and models, and when Mike brings a car back, as soon as Ed comes out of the garage, he'll say, Oh, its a _ _ _ _ _ + whatever, and he'll real of certain problems and cures !

I was going to go with my brother, but bulked at the entry fees, bought some bits for my car instead. Only worked out at £25 p/p for the day using the Octane discount code, which wasn't too bad, well worth it I'd say it costs more to get into a football match ! and that's only for an hour and a half !!
