What a fleet! Do not sell it or you'll regret. Love the twingo though. Makes me want to hurry up and sort my 172! Get it done ๐๐ป big renault fan especially of the 172/182 chassis. I've had plenty of them over the years in various states of tune, would love to bag a stock ph1. years ago I scrapped one just because no one wanted to buy it ๐ณ๐ญ

little update on the twingo, been a busy few weeks. Mapping was brought forward to the 27th due to someone wanting to swap dates, win for me. I needed to do a quick job and swap the selector arms over on the gearbox to sort out my shifter being backwards...... that ended very badly and i ended up snapping the whole selector shaft, engine and box back out less than a week from mapping ffs. Long story short, i removed everything, found a replacement box, refitted everything and then it made a 140mile trip for mapping, made huge power (for what it is) and it makes me smile. I still need to sort out some suspension issues but its on the road and being used daily. I now have a little 950ish kg Renault Twingo GT with a 2.0ltr turbo engine producing 280bhp and 300ftlb of torque to the front wheels. here's some vids (warning may contain inappropriate language or slightly bad driving)

Looks great, so wish I could of come along. Would of been very cool to park up with that Dauphine too. Unfortunately the wife was working and that put me on Dad duty.
Its owned by a chap called Colin Pace (Pacenotes on instagram) I've never seen it in the flesh but it looks fantastic in the pictures.
Whole meet up looks great from the pics I've seen today
Thanks for sharing

I spent a little time investigating the weep from the water pump and its the pump itself, its not a major currently, you couldn't currently measure the loss from the header tank. So will sort a pump out for it soon and get it swapped, luckily it will only take about 15min to do once its here.

Also I don't know if you already have but you should add some progress on the twingo on here if you don't do already. I would like to see it. As its more of a modern ive not really posted about it here, though it takes up loads of my tinker time. The Dopes engine and gearbox swap was Lockdown 1 project, lockdown 2 was 4 weeks so i didnt do anything with that (bar get fat) I fell on my feet with a few parts so the twingo got an engine and gearbox swap for Lockdown 3. Ill get some pics together and post a little bit on it

Qvale Mangusta, De Tomaso Biguรก based. Low production short lifespan and with distinctive (I'm being nice) styling. Maserati and Fiat coupe love child?

Liked for the post not for the the results. Such a shitter, though pushing things like we do, sometimes has a bad result. Could of gone either way, some make mega power forever and get beat on and some engines go pop stock. Not what you wanted at all. Hopefully you muster up the energy to get it sorted as I know all to well how much of a drag it can be sometimes to keep plugging on after a failure. Still looking forward to the dyno sheet

I've also just sorted the alternator warning light that I've neglected to do since the engine swap and 12v conversion. Simple thing, not sure why I haven't got round to it. I'm returning to work in 2 weeks and want to use the Dope as much as possible so am trying to sort any loose end jobs out before I do.

Hopefully it does. Just a majorly disappointing day of grief when it wasnt expected. Though I should just reside to the fact it will probably go wrong if I work on this car lol
