The last time i stripped a car i rang the scrapyard and they picked it up
Before you strip it you could call one and see what they would do
If they're an authorised ELV place give them the V5, and if they're not declare it SORN
DVLA would say that is not legit because they would probably say you could clone it with another car. They also, obviously, want their records straight
The reality is, it doesn't come up. If the scrapper / metal recycler doesn't record the VIN (which if they don't take the V5 they won't) the DVLA believe it's in your possession and because SORN doesn't need renewing that's it
The only way it would come up again would be if it re-entered the system in some way by taxing it, driving it, selling it but that's not going to happen, is it?

I want to post a bumper to Spain but the two sites i have tried (Interparcel & Parcel2go) say bumpers are either prohibited or restricted (ie you won't get any compensation)
Does anyone know of a courier who will cover bumpers (and wheels for that matter)?

I stopped watching them all except 'Roadkill' until last week when I stumbled upon ' Lords of the car hoards' that's rather interesting on many levels,'highway to sell' is much the same concept. I just watched these online Pretty good. The continuous deposition to camera is not needed but that's just the way they make them i guess For those who haven't seen it, the idea is to 'help' car hoarders by selling all their stuff and using it to pay for the build of one special car Quite interesting.

Had one years ago and loved it. My brother ended up buying it from me because he liked it so much. Went very well for a 1.6. Loved revving. Went round corners well but didn't like steering above motorway speeds! The front would lift and leave your chewing the seat! You're right it being based on a Nissan Sunny. If I remember right a load of the mechanicals and underneath is interchangeable. If you was so inclined, coilovers are easy to come by (they didn't use to be) and they take 4x100, so you're not short of wheels. As previously mentioned, rust kills these cars. Especially on the sills, rear turrets and arches. The looks are an acquired taste, granted, but they are a very fun car! My old one in standard form (never modified it): I thought they were the same car

Fiat Cinquecento or Seicento Sporting
Not big power but great fun in the corners. Handle great. Are cheap. Galvanised from the factory. Reliable
A bit like a mini but a lot more affordable and reliable

I have to find a new engine for my Dad's Zafira
It's a 2004 1.8 16v automatic
Does anyone know if the engine from a manual transmission car will fit ok?

I don't tend to browse the full For Sale section now. Splitting it into three sections is one section too far

It seems, since the new layout, a lot of ad titles don't have the model year in them

I'm glad they exist
Last November picking a car up in the dark, rush hour, 200 miles from home the trailer lights went. Luckily there was a Halfords (open to till 8) in the next town
You're not obliged to use them but i'm glad they're there
