Anyone had one? Tempted by one local to me. Cheap, CAT C due to nose damage years ago but nothing structural, bit tatty but okay. Rust free it seems. Recent clutch and a few other bits. Drives well - feels tight. under 100k...also has the two removable targa tops (which to my surprise don't leak)! Seems like a fun little daily car, from what I've read they are based on the NIssan Sunny and don't really have many issues apart from rear turrent/arch rust (still need to check that...). 105ish hp? Was looking for a fun daily to replaced my 306 Diesel as I'm moving closer to work. There is barely any info on them about it seems. Anyone had one or any experiences? Friend described it as gumpy - I see what he means from the looks. Sorta missing my MK1 Eunos for the summer and this seems like fun eunos-ish motoring for not much money, and it's kinda weird which is always a bonus(?)

I get it just fine. I don't like the 100NX at all, it's a car that wouldn't even get a second glance from me.

That's excellent news 😀. In that case you'll be aware of part of RR's modus operandi is 'everything has potential'. OP: My brother in law had one a while back - great little cars, but watch out for rot around the rear turrets - it can creep in and kills them dead. Here's a pretty looking custom one:

I see these and they sorta remind me of the Mazda 323's gumpy little brother... Could be a lot of fun with that Targa top during the Summer...

Had one years ago and loved it. My brother ended up buying it from me because he liked it so much. Went very well for a 1.6. Loved revving. Went round corners well but didn't like steering above motorway speeds! The front would lift and leave your chewing the seat! You're right it being based on a Nissan Sunny. If I remember right a load of the mechanicals and underneath is interchangeable. If you was so inclined, coilovers are easy to come by (they didn't use to be) and they take 4x100, so you're not short of wheels. As previously mentioned, rust kills these cars. Especially on the sills, rear turrets and arches. The looks are an acquired taste, granted, but they are a very fun car! My old one in standard form (never modified it):

A south African dude i worked with years ago swore by them, he had a few driving about. They're just another funky car to me. Funnily enough I looked at an ad for one last night briefly on my hunt for a daily mile muncher, but they aren't my bag.

I quiet like their ugliness, whatever you do don't lock your keys inside the car they are a curse word to get into if you don't have lock pick

Do it or youll be forever telling people 'I nearly bought one of those once' as one of the last whizzes by. If it were me (as I like to ruin cars) as mentioned they come with an sr20 in other countries. if that fits, sr20det with pulsar running gear is probably not hard to fit

Always had a soft spot for these! Never owned one though.
I think the early ones are 90 brake, later ones are 105 or 110
