Unfortunately I think the scrappage scheme mostly appealed to the older generation, hence the amount of mint low mileage 80's/90's cars scrapped and the amount of Hyundai i10's sold in replacement.
The older folk wouldn't of know their cars true value either.

And that escos was owned by someone that spent some time under her majesty's pleasure for the record ,and if I remember correctly he found out what happened to the car and dealt with the situation so I'm led to beleive Not true, he sold it to his mate who still owns it to this day I believe. The car was put on a private plate so the previous owner wouldn't be unable to track it from its original reg anyway.

Just garage it for a few months. There's rumours the vic check will be scrapped next year anyway to cut costs.

This Metro was sitting on four flat tyres at the side of the street this week. After the death of the elderly home owner the house is being cleared and this metro re-appeared from the garage it has been sitting in since 2005. Time capsule Metro by route9autos.co.uk, on Flickr Time capsule Metro by route9autos.co.uk, on Flickr I didnt think to look at the milage and now its gone. Dave Shame, was probably dragged out for the Scrapman

Judging by the truck I'm guessing that yard belongs to one of the Stinkbridge banger racing team. They seam to have gone quiet lately though.

That brings back memories, my dad had a dark blue X plate TSE in the early 90's. Same exterior spec but it had electric windows, sunroof and central locking.
Always remember it blowing its headgasket in a big way trying to overtake a fuel tanker whilst towing the caravan up a big hill in Cornwall.

Hi all, Another newbie here. Firstly i'd like to say great site and some really nice cars on here. I know its not reto in anyway shape or form but I'm currently in the process of euro styling a Rover 25. I've so far puchased some coilovers to get it nice and tarmac slapping low and a few other bits and bobs but the thing i really want is wide as possible steel wheels. Possibly 14 or 15 inch but i was just wondering if anyone knows where i can get some standard Rover steels banded? I know its illegal but i really want them to finish off the look. I'm in the midlands area if that helps ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)
