Think that must be another one he's built as I'm sure the 'proper' one has recently been spotted on the road. *edit* was spotted 3 days ago on the road http://instagram.com/p/ByQil5_nw-G

Complete mojo failureqwerty

This is a hobby that we're meant to ultimately enjoy, something that gives us a chance of escape and a few moments pleasure. If its not doing that anymore then get rid. Otherwise all that happens is these unfinished projects become a stick with which to beat ourselves. "You should have worked on that this weekend." "That should be finished by now." "I can't believe you haven't even touched that."
We are our own worst critics and it can cause I downward spiral.
As the gambling slogan says, when the fun stops, STOP!
My concern would be that this goes deeper than mere mojo loss over project cars.

About 22 years ago my Dad was going to buy one, but I sulked and for some reason he listened to a 10 year old and bought a Renault 21 1.7 Saloon. That turned out to be dreadful.
He should have given me a slap and bought the Charade!

The Polo turned out to be even more rotten than I thought.
So I bought another, this time a GT spec breadvan. It's very very solid but cosmetically challenged, which means I get to do fun jobs and maintenance and not soul destroying rust repair!

Travels with Geordie. A great little channel I stumbled across. I mainly watch the series regarding the live aboard restoration of his wooden boat which has great elements of mechanical work, electrical work and of course woodwork. However there is also great content on running a series Land Rover and on refitting an Air Stream for touring. Check it out, Peter could do with the support! www.youtube.com/channel/UCzjS_6kYzuWNznwIfQdqt1wTom

I've tried to do this online but the website says I have to ring up due to the registration history of the car.
Any idea what that may mean?

I haven't the faintest idea! Nobody in my family was into cars, and throughout my who school life none of my friends were either. I started off as a two year old by dragging my Mum around the town centre car park getting her to read the boot badges for me! I even remember my Dad going for lessons and passing his test when I was four years old. I think I have a genetic defect.... almost the same here, no connection whatsoever in either family or school-friends... There's a video of me sitting at my grandparents house on the top of their sofa watching the cars pass by and naming all the brands and models out loud. I was approx 3 year old at that time so I guess it was a birth defect here as well I'm glad I'm not the only one. My first word was car and apparently as a kid I would know my parents friends by their cars. Later on my cousin who is into his Fords used to pass on his Fast Ford and Revz magazines.

Cars of similar age have always and will always look similar because of the fashions of the time.
Saying modern cars are indistinguishable from each other has less to do with how similar they look and more to do with how little attention we pay them. As a forum dedicated to older cars its only reasonable to assume that on the whole we have very little interest in the new crop of cars.

I like it, but then I really like the presenters. More car based TV is always a good thing.
Also Colin Furze bidding on the Kaddett......and then winning the Carina 😂

Supposedly those Reliants had weights strategically placed to make a rollover easier.

Are reverse trikes more stable than the traditional one wheel at the front kind?

Great little museum. Last time I was there, there was a TVR Speed 12. The Lakes Tour was also dropping in when I was there last so there was some lovely modified classic Fords in the car park!

Funnily enough I've just sorted out my insurance today. After ringing a few specialists I tried Gocompare and it got me the cheapest price by £30. They now also search through classic/specialist insurers! £80 cheaper than last year.

My 1st ever driving experience was a white E reg Uno 903cc that my Mam had. It was rotten.
Yours looks considerably cleaner but the interior pictures really evoke a bit of nostalgia

I think there needs t be another Howie video on how Nick and Richard actually think up the designs of the things like the brackets and fittings. It may well be 90% sitting with a cuppa lol Thats one of the main parts that fascinates me, I just haven't got the brains to be able to plan something that meticulously and envision how its all going to work. Then actually build it and have it work!
