Would like a speed cable to fit straight into the Viva. The gearbox is a type 9 and the speedo is STD Viva. So I need the circlip end for a FORD box and the screw on for the Viva...anyone got any ideas? Have some pics for your time.... fond memories of this car...

Agreed on the average speed. Total nonsense Spent many times at high average speed on the autroute. Easy driving as well. Found Belgian drivers to be a rule to themselves though

I will go and search the internet now.....

There is a donut in the prop that's worth looking at, I snapped a bolt in mine during a hard launch. Definitely worth inspecting, the one on my old XR4x4 had cracks in the rubber which I ignored not a wise decision as it broke up as I accelerated down a dual carriageway That brought back a memory ;D As to the wobble. Even if the shaft 'feels' good it can still move a lot Change the donut anyway as they can make a spectacular mess if they go. If memory serves they were fairly cheap in the late 90's a sI used to go threough a couple a year

always use Morrisons as always cheapest in our area. Do they use Shell?
As to worry I was pretty sure all was OK. Just had that NAG voice in the back of my head. "It has been running a little to warm'

They look fine to me. If there was water getting in I'd expect them to be washed clean. Wire brush and get 'em back in I knew water was not getting in as water was leaking from a pipe. Just never seen such a lovely sunset red on a plug!!! Made me want to sit in a sunset strip bar in San An and listen to some chilled tunes... Instead of having 5 layers on including thermals

Plugs pictured in cylinder order 1-2-3-4 Not sure here is No 3 is running rich? I usually have a plugs with a paler yellow colour out of this car. Never seen them this sunset red. The car is a late 90's Astra 1600 BTW. They have been in for over a year and the car has been slowly losing coolant but to my knowledge only got too hot once or twice whilst sat in Bristol traffic Jams . Never boiled over

Apologies badly remembered. It was late for me For the money it will not be a 'the best on the market'. However, all the stuff I have bought from Aldi and LIdl has been of good quality and never let me down. Some of the food is very good to. Follow this link for the tools and stuff I was seeing and the Dremel type tool that Datman is on about..... www.aldi.co.uk/uk/html/offers/offers_week09Sunday11.htmLidl and Aldi do special offers by email as well as having latest offers on their websites. I will post up links to the them when I see car related stuff.
